The food was nothing to write home about, some for this was good other food was poor. The chicken burger was good but the gammon was very poor and such a small portion. The lite bite fish was far better than this and cheaper, the stew and dumplings was okay my other sonnsaid. Would we come back I do not think so no. The pub could do with a makeover. The staff are very nice. The food was expensive for what it was.
Pleasantly surprised by how nice the food was. We got cheese and onion pies they were some of the nicest we’ve ever had.
We were extremely impressed with the food today, we stumbled across this place bank holiday Monday after a long hike. I had the salmon and my husband had peppercorn chicken. My salmon was HUGE and was cooked perfectly. I am fussy and will send things back if I am not happy with them! But this was superb, you can tell the chef knows what he is doing! My hubby was very happy with his meal too. Compliments to the chef!
Popped in for Lunch after a walk at Beacon Fell. The food was very good in pleasant surroundings. Shame they only had 1 cask ale on. My Steak pudding was delicious and came with an extra jug of gravy My wifes Chicken Kieva proper breast was v tasty too and portion size was good. Will go again.
Our lovely new local. We've been here quite a few times now! The staff are super nice here and we love the food! I had the Sunday dinner last time and it was absolutely spot on. I loved that the staff member offered extra gravy because... Well... Gravy. We are Lancashire people! Haha. We also started a night out here a few weeks ago and brought our friends from afar and they loved it here too! The Malibu and lemonade was lovely!
