Stopped overnight here in our camper. Fantastic welcome, brilliant communication when booking, super friendly welcoming staff and fantastic food. Absolutely delighted to have visited. If we lived locally as opposed to 120 miles away...it would become a regularnLoved it .Thank you

Really accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious and they even had a menu for the dog! Good size carpark that we were able to stop overnight in our motorhome.

Popped in for Lunch after a walk at Beacon Fell. The food was very good in pleasant surroundings. Shame they only had 1 cask ale on. My Steak pudding was delicious and came with an extra jug of gravy  My wifes Chicken Kieva proper breast was v tasty too and portion size was good. Will go again.

Visited mid-week for lunch as part of a larger party, including three dogs, two toddlers and several adults. The Alston was very accommodating and made our visit really enjoyable. Food was really nice and service was fantastic - special shout out to Charlotte. While the pub isn’t immediately local to us, we will certainly be stopping by again when we are in the area!

Lovely traditional country pub we happened to find where we could take the dog. We all had Sunday roast which was home cooked and excellent, great portion. Even the dog had a meal  The pub was a bit tired and could do with a refurb, but otherwise very good.
