Tucked around the back of Finsbury Park the FF is a real Finsbury Park institution. This was my first visit and on this evidence I will definitely look to come back. The place is massive with several floors and multiple outdoor terraces. As it was such a nice day they were unfortunately all full so we sat inside. Busy and buzzing and plenty of screens if you want to watch the sport. Good selection of ales too.
Had only ever come here for drinks but after hearing so many good things about the food here, I had to try it! It was surprisingly good and the portions were great too. We ordered the prawn pad Thai a good benchmark, and green curry. Both were really scrumptious but I have to say, the curry was my favourite!!! It was super creamy and had a really nice kick to it.
Great pub, labyrinth in layout.. didn't find the roof top garden! But loads of character and good selection of beers. Staff were on the ball
Don't get me wrong this was a really interesting pub with all its maze like staircases leading to secret drinking spots in all different shapes and size. A local told us gotta be a the best Guinness in London... definitely not, the Guinness we got did not taste right, tasted really watered down. Didn't hit the spot. Plus not even in a Guinness glass. Bit of a let down.
Amazing spot. Great staff, atmosphere and a proper pint. Get there early or you'll be on the outside looking in.
