My favourite bakery in Finsbury Park. The pastries are consistently delicious, and the coffee is rich and well made. It’s a perfect place to stop by for a relaxed break, whether you’re grabbing something to go or sitting in for a quiet moment.
Lovely bakery, although I went in late so I didn’t try any of the food on this occasion. Coffee was good but cheaper can be found next door. So the food is the main draw here. You can see into the kitchen as the wall is glass. It’s quite interesting.nStaff were very nice. I shall return to try the food.
A perfect spot for a morning pastry. The sourdough is also gorgous and thick. I wouldn’t recommend the coffee though, it has a sour taste.nnAlso a cute date night spot with the pizzas. Really yummy and unique flavours, but the prices do reflect the size of the pizza. On the smaller size but that’s to be expected with the vibe it’s going for. More of a doughy sourdough pizza
super cute cozy bakery that would be perfect for a work from home day with plenty of seating and tables. i tried the chocolate cookie which was perfectly chewy, not too sweet and had a nice brown butter flavour. the bathroom was also super clean and cute.
Unfortunately, not my favourite experience at a Jolene restaurant.nDon't get me wrong, the service was great. The staff, very lovely, and the food was as delicious as you'd expect at Jolene. The portion sizes, however, are tiny. Especially considering what they're charging, and the menu is a tad pretentious. I understand leaning into a fancy asthetic, and I've seen how it works at other Jolene restaurants, but this one feels like more of your run-of-the-mill cafe, brightly lit, and spaced out. I felt silly having to google practically every item on the menu to understand what I was looking at, all the while surrounded by young mums and their babies.nServe slightly larger portions and rewrite the menu in a fashion thats a little more descriptive, and I'd be revisiting much sooner. Right now though, unless getting takeaway coffee, I'm not in a rush to get back.
