Jolene is first and foremost a superb location. Spacious, with an industrial decor but with very meticulous details. The place where I love to have an excellent coffee and very decent viennoiseries sorry, I'm French, so I'm very -very- demanding when it comes to croissants , after taking my niece and nephew to school. You can relax and work in peace, on the terrace or inside, outside meal times. What's more, I've heard nothing but good things about their savoury cuisine, so I'll have to give it a try!
We booked a table for 4 at 8pm, on a Wednesday. However, it was still quite busy which says a lot about how popular this place is. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the servers were really nice. The overall vibe was great. We were seated on a long table divided by chalk into 3 tables. This was rather odd to me, but I think its part of the vibe. The bathroom was quite questionable as it had large windows into the stalls that have a slight blur to them. The reason for the low rating is the wait time, we ordered a bunch of small dishes as this was the only thing available, and it took forever for each dish to arrive. I dont recommend going here if you are hungry, definitely stock up on some food before coming here.
I’ve been here twice now and have to say it’s the perfect restaurant for a chilled dinner with friends, date night or a birthday. Wines are special, tasty food and service is 10/10. My friend and I went yesterday, me vegan her gluten free. They created special menus for us and said exactly what we could and couldn’t eat. The experience was great and we stayed till close! It’s rare to find spaces like this in London anymore so I love to see it.
The most amazing place but so unfortunate that there isn’t one single gluten free option! My friend had no choices and I felt embarrassed that I planned for us to walk all the way there. Such phenomenal pastries and coffee just hope they can make an additional option soon.
I had the smoked chicken sandwich and coffee. I would like to add some comments here; first, the sandwich was not tasty at all, even the Tesco sandwich was better than that. Coffee cup sizes I had an Americano for that coffee the size was way small.
