Very affordable pub with massive portion sizes! The food and service were great, only little complaint is with the cleanliness sticky table and glasses with marks on them.
I'm not person for pub meals, but the gammon meal deal tasted nice plus you have others meals available. Monday to Friday at £11.99 for two adults meal you just can't beat the price.
This pub had nice food for a very cheap and affordable price. They have online ordering available and have lots of choices on their menus as well as lots of promotions. My kids enjoyed their meal. It's well located and convenient for canal boaters.
Lovely place, nice atmosphere. Went for a meal, all meals were great. Only took 1 pic though lol. Beers all on form.
Came in today for lunch. The food was perfect and the service provided was outstanding. It’s rare to see toilets in a pub to such high standards. The autumn decor was beautiful and I loved the grinch themed Christmas display. Would 100% recommend and can’t wait to come back again. I asked for the managers name and was told her name was Emma, she should be very proud of the business she is running.
We went here during our narrow boat holiday. It's a greene king pub so you kind of know what you're getting. Cheap beer and big food portions. Ordering on the app was easy. Plenty of screens to watch sport. Service was good. Covid protocols in action. Let down by several clientele being quite loud and sweary during the early evening when there were families present. Unchallenged.
We booked a table here for the great looking menu. On arrival we were informed that the menu was somewhat limited. However we each managed to find something with which we were happy. The food looked OK when it arrived. Unfortunately it was mediocre at best, with the steak being totally inedible. When we were asked how our food was, I stated that it was OK...but that the steak was grim. I could not get my teeth through it. The young lad looked a little shocked, muttered a quick apology and beat a hasty retreat.. Beautiful location, so much potential but very disappointing. Will not be going back.
This place is my old local so I'm always happy when I'm there from Australia visiting friends. Toilets could do with an overhaul as I don't think they have been touched in 20 years! Great beers and good food are always on offer. Will always recommend.
Food was terrible again! Cold food, undercooked food over cooked food, food plates fully of oil, onions that look and tasted like they was last weeks. Some Skillets was black with old grease and other was fine, the way they should be. Vile after taste from steak meals. Was not happy at all. Family of 12. The place wasn't even busy. Its really gone down hill. We have alway used here for family events not now
What a great stopover whilst on the way to visit family. We were warmly welcomed by Kris and the team. We ordered lots of nibbly bits and the team were great with their recommendations. I'm so fussy about dips and sauces and it wasn't a problem for them to come on the side. The chef was also more than happy to accommodate my meal requests in order to make my meal SW friendly which was such a delight. It also great to know that children are welcomed here with open arms and the team happy to interact and say hello.
