Welcome to The Crown Hotel

A great value Liverpool local

We like the simple things in life here at The Crown Hotel. Good beer, hearty pub-food and a bit of friendly banter...

A familiar sight against the bustle of Lime Street Station, you could say we're a city pub with a local heart. And a famous one at that - our distinct art nouveau exterior and grand original features reveal a fascinating history. Today, there's always something good on to draw a crowd around our big, sociable bar. But equally you'll find lots of quiet, cosy nooks perfect for escaping the world over a pint.

Lovely pub in central Liverpool. Perfect spot to have a couple pints and a bite to eat before taking the train at Liverpool Lime Street. The staff here were very friendly and attentive. They have a number of different beers/ciders on draft, plus the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely visit again!Food: 4/5
What an amazing pub, even if you discount the stunning architecture the Crown is a great place to have a drink or two. The drinks are very reasonable and that is without taking in its central location. I didn't have anything to eat so I couldn't comment on the food, but I have no doubt that it is up to a good standard. The staff were very friendly and not afraid to have a chat. The range of drinks on offer are wide ranging and across the price scale. Even if you just go for the architecture you will not be disappointed.
First stop after stepping out of Lime Street station. I’ll always visit TT’s Champion Club members, and lo and behold they had Landlord from cask along with six others plus lots of other draft options. Quite a large space with an interesting history and plenty of Art Nouveau touches. Place was packed on Saturday night with England v Brasil playing a friendly. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed but they handled it well.
A tranquil but lively pub in a zone of very lively and noisy ones! We wanted a place to have a couple pints and some comfort food, minus the loud music or karaoke which are fine and good, but not that night and this was really spot on. Friendly staff, super friendly people having drinks and easy food, nice selection of beers and food. If you are close to Liverpool Lime St. Station, this is a good place to take a pint before your train. Highly recommended!
Came over here few days ago to see family got to say really loved it. I ordered a mega mix grill which was cooked perfectly. My dad had double burger he to loved it. Also a good choice of beers would highly recommend this pubFood: 5/5
Popped in for lunch, wonderful happy greeting, 2 fish chips and peas for £10.25 and a cheese and bacon burger. Fish was large, tasty and beautifully cooked. The burger chips and slaw was juicy and Delicious. Will definitely come here againFood: 5/5
It was nice experience. Great pub better than others, great location at the corner of train station. Good selection of beers and reasonable price. Such nice atmosphere and love the ceiling and texture on stair red wall. sure I'm coming back again.Food: 4/5
Came in with my boyfriend for a bite to eat before going shopping in town. Pub is the first thing you see after coming out station which is just amazing and saves hassle of looking round - service was excellent and staff were all so friendly, gave us some recommendations of things to do and directions. Food came out quickly and tasted amazing - we will definitely be back again, thankyou!
I selected The Crown Hotel at random since it was the nearest place to Lime Street Station. The decor is attractive, the bar staff friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. There was a good selection of beer and spirits. I select a pint of Red Dwarf and a Laphroaig. There was a wide choice of reasonably priced bar meals. I opted for 5 mixed tapas. When they arrived I realised I had bitten off more than I could chew literally. They were all moreish and delicious. I shared my bounty with a group of friendly pensioners on the next table. Naturally, one of them told me he had been to school with Paul McCartney! I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit to The Crown Hotel.
Fabulous old pub with some fantastic exterior window decor which has caught our eye many times. This was our first visit and we weren't disappointed by the architectural features inside as well as on the outside. Nice bar area with other rooms off, toilets were upstairs awesome, spotlessly clean. Good prices for our regular drinks. Certainly a good place to call in if you're heading back to Lime Street Station for the journey home.
