After searching for a decent pub we found the White Star. We met a lot of lovely people and the Landlady and staff went above and beyond to get us a taxi due to my disability. There was a brilliant singer/ Comedienne. When they found out it was our anniversary it was brilliant. Once again thanks to the Landlady and her staff. We will return
This pub was always a "go to" place on our pub tours of Liverpool over the last 25 years. Went in today and got charged £9.20 for 2 pints. Total rip off !!! Staff not a patch on the friendly guys of a few years ago. Won't be going back.
Smashing Welcoming Pub with a surprise comedian singer performing in the back room. Just Jackie had us howling! A fabulous time, Thank You to the landlady, Jackie for welcoming us
What a find! An oasis of calm in a lovely building in an otherwise noisy part of Liverpool. Can't recommend it enough for the history Beatles, White Star Line, Boxing etc, the ambiance and the beer. Friendly staff. Great architecture.
Great pub. Great beer. Very close to Matthew st and The Cavern. But give those places a miss and enjoy one of the best pubs in Liverpool, you will not regret it.
Absolute gem of a Liverpool City centre pub . Very nice range of real ales on tap to choose from . Friendly service and nice mix of background music to make you want to sit back and stay a little longer than you originally planned.
Went specifically from Southport on the train for the Wednesday afternoon singalong and were not disappointed. Very nice gentleman made us feel welcomed.
Love this place. The bar manager and owner are brilliant as are the rest of the staff. The crowd is always interesting and you never know who your going to meet. It's a bit respite off the chaos that is Mathew street. Just wish they could get the Bass more frequently
We went there this morning. Good service and really nice atmosphere. We had a great time with Gerry and the guys in the back, listening to folk music and enjoying some pints. Totally recommend.
Excellent little Traditional Pub. Good Beer Selection. Busy at times.
