I didn't have big hopes for this pub when I found out where I was to meet friends. It was really nice inside, very antique style with huge and spacious rooms! Well worth a visit if you want a drink, if you're in the area. Will go againRooms: 5/5
I had the absolute pleasure of stumbling across this pub on my way to Liverpool lime street station after a fantastic day out and the vines was the cherry on the cake. What a fantastic building with lovely rooms can recommend the billiards room. As well as the superb staff. We were welcomed by a man called Jack with present conversation. He was asking about our day and seemed genuinely interested in what we had to say and talked to us about the city and bits about his childhood. Could not recommend this place more to anyone who has the pleasure to find it
Some wonderful rooms and period features. Fantastic bar area. Lots of places to sit in beautiful surroundings. I really liked this bar. Good selection of drinks, along with guest ales. Great place to meet in large groups as there are some large sheeting areas. One room playing sports if that's your thing. It gets very busy being close to lime street station. But well worth popping in if you have some time to kill. Definitely recommend.
We went here for our 18th beer club and it didn't disappoint. Right next to the station this place was magnificent and you have to visit it to take in the amazements of the billiard room. Cosy side rooms too. Range of different ales and the usual Heineken/Guinness too.
We’ve been coming to the Vines periodically for many years. The interior is pretty impressive and staff and friendly and chatty. There is usually a good selection of craft beers on and prices are very competitive. For a beer in a pretty grand setting, it’s well worth popping in.
This purpose built pub erected in 1920 is beautifully decked out in wood pannelling with moulded plaster ceilings. When there, check out the back room which is the plushest of all! They serve simple bar snacks such as pasties & sausage rolls. The range of available beers is really good quality & this pub has recently recueved a CAMRA award. Its prices are very reasonable for a city centre pub & it is ideally situated next to the Adelphi Hotel & only 5 mins walk from Lime St Station. I will be visiting again .
A beautiful pub, very good for a drink, epic back room. No food though. Would be nice to see more local beer and pork pies.Service: 5/5
Lovely great vibes ,and reasonable prices for a city centre pub ,a lot of rooms to choose from with open fire really cost deffo go back again Walkability: Close to lime Street train station, great watering hole after a long journey
An impressive old pub on Lime Street, Liverpool. Quite a few rooms to drink in. Bartender was friendly and service was good. Unfortunately the pub is showing it's age and the decor looks rather tired. However I would recommend this pub if you wanted to tour iconic pubs in Liverpool.Service: 4/5
Called for a drink before catching train home from holiday. Wish we had spent more time here. Lovely pub full of character and original decor. Superb pint of Timothy Taylor Boltmaker ale served by helpful, friendly bar lady.Rooms: 5/5
