Story

Soul Food, Real Ales and Tasty cocktails from the boys behind the Soul Food Project.

The Church was born out of owner Carl Finn’s love affair with New Orleans and passion for all things Soul Food and Creole. Teaming up with Everards, Carl took over the 100 year Old Church Inn and turned it into a Soul Food Playground.

Over the past four years we’ve held dozens of crayfish boils, rib nights, Hot Sauce competitions and New Orleans Parties right in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter.

Join us during the week for light lunches, 2-4-1 ribs, intimate dining, hand crafted cocktails, chilled out tunes and good old fashioned service.

Catch us at the weekend for banging parties in the back room, lazy afternoons on the roof terrace and sumptuous Sunday dinners with our infamous Southern Sides.

We’re kid friendly, vegan friendly, date friendly and work friendly.

All of our rooms are available for private hire with catering for more info email [email protected] or hit the call now button above.

Really nice pub, and food looks great. Looking forward to getting back here when I can.
Excellent pub with multiple seating areas, two inside and a very nice roof terrace. They have a good selection of beers and. Food wise it is pizzas only. But they are all excellent. Really good vibe, recommended
This place is amazing, awesome staff, brilliant drink selection and the manager is a legend. I've found my new home away from home.
Had a lovely Saturday afternoon drink in here. Was nice and relaxed, pleasant bar staff and the building is very historic and pretty. Didn't try the food but will next time!
Very friendly atmosphere. Tasty Southern fried chicken
Nice menu at decent prices; rooftop beer garden is fabulous!
The staff was friendly and its seems there are few less real ales.
