Amazing food and drink. They just changed their menu when we came and everything was really delicious. The charred cauliflower was our favourite, and that sauce was to die for. Service was warm and attentive. Will definitely come back.Food: 5/5
A complete refresh of the space and menu has happened in the last month, and it does not disappoint. New chef who dis! Unique, fresh and surprising options without anything feeling overcomplicated. Warm and humble space that feels welcoming for a casual meal with a pal or a more fancy flirty time with a date. I believe parts of the menu will shift seasonally to make the most use of the freshest ingredients available for example: the buckwheat waffle that included persimmon as one of its toppings!? Extremely accommodating to dietary restrictions vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and allium-free adjustments can easily be made while maintaining richer more decadent options for those with tougher stomachs. Every dish was incredible. I recommend ordering many plates to share, you really can't go wrong here.
What a lovely neighborhood spot. The food was delicious, the grilled octopus was a highlight, lovely easy snacky menu. Split a burger and fries with my partner and it truly was the perfect burger!!! You’d be surprised how hard it is to find a killer burger these days, very satisfying. Nice drinks and wonderful service! What a lovely and intimate casual spot.
Ever since chef Eric McDonald previously of Sakai Bar took over the kitchen here, the food has been incredible- so tasty, unique, & fun! I have a sneaky suspicion once word spreads a little more that Golden Peacock is gonna become a lil’ hot spot like it’s pal Donna’s…
Listen - these cocktails are next level and worthy of their "golden" moniker. Don't sleep on this place. The vibe is correct. The sips are spectacular. Show up before you can't get in. That's the tea.Food: 5/5
Great new spot in the neighbourhood! Good vibes - great food, drinks and service. MUST TRY the grilled beef hearts, grilled octopus and the peacock burger. The beef hearts and octopus are perfect lil sharing snack!
Fantastic cocktails! The snacks are so creative, the atmosphere is super chill and the staff are great hosts. Will be back soon.Food: 5/5
One of the most underrated burger's in the city. Also awesome fries and lots of creativity throughout the rest of the menu. I'll be back!Food: 5/5
Very tasty food with a great vibe! Would definitely recommend to friends and family. 10/10
This has become my go to bar in the area. The food is superlative, by the same posse behind Donna’s. The space is unassuming: it feels vaguely like a portaguese sports bar crossed with something a little hip. They have lots of cute pub nights I have accidentally stumbled upon, like a quiz night or a random BBQ day. The patio out back is nice for the summer: who doesn’t love a hidden backyard patio? The burger here is incredible: like a fancy whopper. You should get it. Don’t be afraid of the beef heart: it is delicious.
