Used to go to the bull loads many years back for work meetings ahum but the first visit in ages. Still a good un I'm glad to find and well worth the trip. Thought there used to be more booths/curtained areas but could be wrong. A unique pub among so many chains. Serving great quality, homely food sausage and mash was spot on and always felt a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Hope to return a lot sooner
I recently stayed at the Bull & the accommodation was very clean & comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend as the Bull is a lovely old traditional city pub. For a city centre location great value for money.Rooms: 4/5
This is a brilliant pub. It’s a classic, old-style pub that has a community of regulars and exemplifies how pubs used to be! The bar tender was welcoming, friendly, sociable, attentive, and knowledgeable about the drinks. The resident cat of 16 years! was a welcome edition. Never before have I been to a pub with a cat, and it brought me joy! For food I had the jacket potato with cheese and beans. This I thought was a reasonable price on balance of the quality and the atmosphere, however I would prefer to see more vegetarian mains if possible. The jacket itself, however, did not disappoint - it was thinly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the portion size was generous, including the side salad. The toilets were clean and clientele friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit and hope to re-visit myself when back in Birmingham!
Friendly pub just off the centre of city centre. Food done between 12 and 8. Helpfully told where to get breakfast. No lift which was aware of. Early check-in from 12 when pub opens. Shall use again.Rooms: 4/5
Historic pub in the Gunmakers Quarter. Centuries of gun trade workers, high/low brow customers have enjoyed a drink and meal here. History oozes from the walls. Good selection of draught and cask beers. Pub menu with some slight and enjoyable twists. Quiet, laidback vibe. Just come, have a pint and soak the history.Service: 5/5
Friendly pub, good atmosphere, good choice of beers. Will visit again.Service: 4/5
Proper pub with a proper feel. Very good beer and a very good pub menu. Knowledgeable bar staff they are not 'bartenders' as many have put on the site...we are in England, not the USA! Walkability: A few minutes from the city centre
N9t an easy place to find, but as back-steeet locals go, it's well worth seeking out. The staff and punters were all very friendly, while the beer choice was good and well kept. We didn't take any rooms, b7t if we had, I'm sure they'd have been as good as the pub itself.Rooms: 3/5
Very nice little pub in Birmingham. Thr best part is by far the atmosphere and the feeling of genuine pub. You can eat, drink, spend some time and just enjoy the local feeling and history of the town in this place.Service: 5/5
Sunday lunch visit. Little oasis, excellent beer, nice choice of beers and very pleasant landlord.
