Excellent shop, with an abundance of sheet music and also musical practice and theory books. I wish that all music shops would follow the example of Chimes both at The Barbican and The Royal Academy of Music. I only have praise for this business and it's friendly, hard working and accommodating staff. Bravo
The cashier man/receptionist is a massive credit to the music shop. Very swift in answering my queries and ensuring I've got all the music books that are needed, making reservations and keeping it for me even when I feel that he is not obliged to do so. Plus the store is very well organised and books are divided well into sections so it is so much easier to find. Keep it up!
Great shop in a fab location. Staff couldn't be more helpful! Whenever I was desperate for a particular set of parts, they went out of their way to help me find it, and then when it was going to arrive a day too late for my foreign travel publisher's fault not Chimes, the wonderful Freddie and Nathalie even went above and beyond and hand delivered to my colleague. Quite remarkable! Not something I'd ever expect - but as an emergency situation and one off it was wonderful of them.... Brilliant, friendly service! Thanks Academy Chimes!
Chimes shops are appended to London's music academies and stock a lot of useful sheet music, strings and so on. They've always been helpful when I've made any enquiries.
Easily the most stylish music shop in town. The Museum is also well worth visiting.
