For a small venue out in the sticks we certainly fight above our weight and have high quality well known acts that normally frequent much larger places. Great place for a beer or two. Beers are kept very well. We stayed for the live band was really good fun. I would highly recommend this place for a fun night out
An exceptional venue and first rate boozer. The musical acts that play here 5 days a week are always top drawer. It’s such a unique & special place expertly run by Noel, Gary and team. No wonder it’s garnering praise in the pages of Classic Rock Magazine & getting famous famous faces queuing up to perform there.
The Cavern is a top notch place for live music! I loved any band I've been there on - and they have a large list of them. Music is every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - lot to choose from!
Great pub and music venue! The landlord, Noel, works tirelessly to keep music live in this fantastic shrine to music. Always love my visits here, sadly not often enough though. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic small live music venue. This is a pub which puts on live music on a regular basis, offering a platform to both up-and-coming artists and rock gods of old. The venue is not a charity, it’s a working pub, so they do ask respectfully that you buy a drink so that they can continue to offer such fantastic entertainment. The only time I’ve ever seen any unhappy fellow patron at this place is those who are asked to leave for table-blocking as they’ve not bought a drink, which serves them right frankly, but I’ve seen amazing talent at The Cavern that you just won’t have the opportunity to see elsewhere, and all for the cost of some beer, so I think it is great value & highly recommended it!!! Can’t wait to go back :
The cavern is an amazing yet unique venue. You maybe fooled into thinking it's a pub. The owner and the staff ensure your evening is one to be remembered. From the friendly atmosphere to the top shelf entertainment, you may spend a few hours transending to another time, or to a memorable concert. Thoroughly enjoy every time I go. Unbelievably, most of the time it's free entry. Noel, Gary and their crew have been doing a superb job for over many years I have been able to pop in to the Cavern. Here's to the many more .. This place is a gem, I've met people who have travelled from Wales to go there. There are so few places with live music these days. Great pub, great bands, great friendly atmosphere, newbies always welcome. Most gigs are free. I don't think it is fair to go there, get free live music and not buy a drink, then go and give a 1 star review because you are asked to leave. It is a business after all that has struggled to stay open during covid when many other places have folded. I love live music and I love The Cavern.
This is, without doubt, the best live music Venue in London. Not only is the beer excellent The place got mentioned in the good pubs guide It's one of the only places I know where you can but Sharp's cold River Cider. The Staff and Clientele are friendly, the bands are awesome and the pub Dogs are lovable. Not only that but it has a great Pool table as well. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a Rockin' night out!
I have a few mates who play in bands who are lucky to feature at this venue. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a host of bands memorabilia around the whole bar. This is definitely the place to come to for live music. Bear in mind, the artists work their wotsit's off to entertain us so keep some coins ready to throw in the bucket as it makes it's way round. Most important, help support live music by keeping these establishments open. There's a fantastic choice behind the bar.
