There has been been a Hostelry and Ale House on this site for nearly two centuries with the original building being demolished in 1925 to make way for the bridge

Great place to catch up with friends of a lovely pint! You've got plenty to choose from!
In my opinion the best bar and restaurant in the whole of Newcastle! Could not fault the food . Constantly changing menu means you have to go back . Also have there own micro brewery which is really interesting. Maybe not the easiest place to locate being directly under a bridge but worth hunting for .
Great selection of beers which are changed regularly there always seems to be something new to try. The menu is limited but the food is fine. Can be very relaxed atmosphere quiet times, although it can get rammed at peak times on Friday and Saturday nights.
One of the greatest bars in Newcastle, a superb selection of beers and ales with great outdoor seating.
Great food, great service, great beer, great time! Dog friendly too : Gold star!
Amazing service - offered a pre-booked two hour slot, temperature checks, LOADS of space in between tables, amazing staff and delicious food, we were super impressed!
