The best service, good facilities {being disabled this is a must} the family were treated with the utmost respect amazing definitely recommend this place for food 11 happy people. Second time back as you can see we loved lunch and finished the lot staff are still amazing thank you.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Went for a family meal and the best part was the drinks! To start with we waited a hour for our food, when we spoke to the bar to say it hasn’t arrived they were surprised! They finally brought out my 17 month old daughters food, the chips were horrible! They brought the rest of the food out and we wish they didn’t. My hunters chicken was burnt on the outside and pink inside, the bacon was burnt and the cheese tasted disgusting. The chips with the fish and chips were cold and uncooked. The steak was supposed to be med-rare, came medium, which isn’t the problem. The tomato was burnt, the onions tasted like they weren’t cooked. Chips were over cooked. 100% will never be coming back here. Very disappointed!
Great place for a quick meal at probably the best prices in StAlbans. Also reminds us most of the type of restaurants we had back in South Africa. Definitely becoming one of our favorites. Follow up in 2022. I ordered a pizza at the bar and was not good, I think it’s a frozen pizza chucked in the microwave, so lowering the rating.
For some reason, we ended up having lunch over here. It was a nice local pub. The food choice was good. Food needs somemore spices. Service was very good and staff very friendly.Food: 3/5
Great pub and the food was perfect and really well priced. Made for a great location for a family dinner of 9 people. Spot on service and we will be back.Food: 5/5
Have used this for food and a 21st birthday, but had heard the food has not been as good, I didn't believe the reports I got,so myself and my wife had dinner there today, my god it was over burnt chips, lacking no flavor, the onion rings used to have onion in them, seemed like a bag from Aldi, very soggy and no taste, the plate had burnt onions and left a greasy taste, on the only good side the staff were great, but wanted a nice meal, sorry blackberry jacks, won't use this again for food, just maybe a a quick drink.
We went down for the Carol service last week and as always, it was very good. The staff in the pub are always very welcoming and friendly and for a community pub, it fits the bill very nicely, The pub is a credit to Chloe and her team, well done
Pub was clean and staff were friendly. They have a good menu selection and make a point of asking about allergies etc before you order. Food came swiftly after ordering and was nice and hot. Portion sizes are reasonable and everything was cooked well and tasted pleasant. There was a mix of all ages in there so it's family friendly. For a dinner, drink and dessert it was about £20 which isn't bad at all so all in all for the type of pub it is it was perfectly fine and pleasant. Would be happy to return.
Very welcoming, a family gathering from, Hemel, Dunstable, Derbyshire, Cornwall and Cheshire. Staff were lovely, food excellent, apologies we didn't leave a tip, it was an emotional get together and remembering lost family members and memories. Would recommend coming here.
It’s a great value for money Sizzling Steak house pub.The menu is comprehensive and modestly priced and there are two for one meals from £10.00 some with a drink. I particularly like their skewers of hot chicken. The decor is a little jaded and hasn’t changed in 15 years there is still the anaclypta dado and remnants of the William Morris wallpapers visible. There is a pleasant conservatory and adequate car park in Jersey Farm and useful small shops in the neighbouring complex
