Great venue decor wise... looks really upmarket when you get in there but .... I found the staff to be very distant and disengaged with the customers and the food was cold and served on stone cold plates .... not really what I was expecting.... Will not be returning.
The cocktails were awesome and the starters were amazing.the steak was a bit chewy and the burger was good and moist very cheesy which i loved.
I have always enjoyed going here, but this time food was burnt and manager kept reminding us we had to leave after an hour. Made us a little uncomfortable, but we hadn't booked so I suppose it's our fault. Not much atmosphere there this time. But I'm sure we will visit again but wont eat in.
Very little almost no options for gluten and dairy intolerance / allergy. C'mon, Gluten free buns aren't exactly hard to come by!
I would have walked out just for the attitude of this front desk waitress tonight. Rude, no please, no thanks, and certainly no interest in what we said. Just a waitress with no manners and a very embarrassing attitude.
Good COVID-19 precautions in place. It was a little disappointing for us however, as a lot of the menu both food and drinks they didn't have that night, so my partner had to have his third choice meal and second choice drink.
Very relaxed atmosphere, enjoyed the Sunday quiz.
If you're worried about returning to pubs and restaurants then the Slug would be a good place to start, it's big and spacious with plenty of tables safely distanced apart and the cleaning is down to a tee, they regularly whipe down tables, doors and other regularly touched surfaces, well done to Dave the manager and his staff.
Lovely bright decor. Comfy seats. Tasty food with a good deal on lunchtime meals
