The Bartley Lodge Hotel

Was attending a friend's wedding reception, but did not stay overnight. Hotel is very well presented, staff all seem very happy and helpful. Drink prices are to be as expected, a little higher then a pub or a restaurant, but reasonable at least.

Large country house one of a chain oh hotels. The out side is uninspiring with little to say where the entrance is and can be confusing which door to enter the hotel. The reception area is very moden and contemporary as is the bar area. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel is very dull having dark wood cladding all over the walls giving this elegant building a very Victorian look and feel. The staff I had contact with were nice but just did what tjey had to and gave the impression they wouldn't go the extra bit to make your stay enjoyable. I didn't view any if the bedrooms here or have any of the food as this was a hotel I would not stay at.

Had a really good time here. My daughter loved the pool. Room was good and bunk beds for the kids is a good idea.

Lovely restful stay in the forest only woken by stray cows escaped from local farm which was funny to watch

Had a Christmas lunch here as part of a 'club'. Food was raw and inedible. They need to get a decent chef.
