Was shooting a wedding here. Great location for amenities. Situated on gorgeous grounds with a play park, secret garden and outdoor seating. The staff were top rate and always on the ball. Everyone had a smile and all seemed to enjoy working here. Would definitely consider this hotel for personal use in the future.Service: 5/5
We recently used the Gray Manor Hotel for our wedding venue and could not recommend them enough! The staff were excellent both the night before and the day of the wedding - nothing was too much trouble for them! The bar staff were fantastic, the rooms were spotless, and the day was set up exactly as we wanted. Thank you in particular to Lexi and Jason for running the day smoothly, attending to guests and just going above and beyond what we could have asked for. Also thank you to Dani for being a superstar in the evening and Sharon for all of her help before the wedding and the friendliest face in the morning!
Fantastic. I had my wedding here and I couldn't have had a better day. Staff made you feel like part of the family and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money too! This isn't a formal venue, it's a venue where you are treated like old friends. There is nothing stuffy or uptight about this venue. Honestly, I want to go back and do it all again. Thank you so much!
Stayed here for a friends 40th birthday celebrations being held at the hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the gardens lovely and staff were very helpful. Bar is also very reasonably priced too. My only slight criticism would be that it would be great to have full length mirrors in all of the bedrooms, but there was one in the ladies toilets next to the bar.
Stayed at Grey Manor the night before wedding. Very friendly greeted at front desk, we arrived shortly after the groom who was notified on our arrival. Hotel is pet friendly as we quickly found out as the best trained Husky was laying by the front desk. Room was a good size. Just the right amount of space to get ready with a dressing table however the mirror is/was too high when sat down. Comfortable night sleep. Floor was clean however seemed as if there was floorboards missing as spongy in parts. This was consistent with floor in bathroom. Fully functional TV with option to cast however couldn't figure out how it worked so left it as only staying one night. Bathroom was as expected. Tap did require a little maintenance, staff was very nice and swift with support. Our stay came with breakfast, vast continental breakfast selection catering for everyone. Small cooked breakfast selection also provided. Staff was brilliant on a whole, great family business! Groom was given a bottle as a wedding present from staff on wedding day. Would stay again, I would definitely recommend
Great value, friendly staff and really comfortable room which was warm outdoors it was below freezing point. Breakfast was excellent and I like that sunflower seeds are provided to go with cereal. Provision has been made for weddings there too.Rooms: 4/5
Great location, close to A303 and route down to Salisbury. Very quirky hotel which specialises as a wedding venue. Rooms have good facilities with kettle, hairdryer, tv, towels etc. Plenty of space & storage but parts quite tired. Old building so floors quite creaky & doors quite squeaky. Staff were great, food options were limited, but staff tend to meet needs. Dogs live on site and quite often welcome you in reception or the car park.
I went to a wedding here this weekend. The grounds are lovely with a children's play park and outdoor seating It's a really quirky place decorated with unusual seating and themes the atmosphere is relaxed and not stuffy staff were dressed casual no uniform Food was quite tasty there was a buffet that had a large selection that catered for all The venue inside is not huge there was about 60 guests but with the grounds it was nice as everyone could spread out This venue is child friendly I would recommend the manor for smaller to medium gatherings
Staff were lovely, from desk to bar to breakfast. But there were no bedsheets for pull out bed in room, no one on desk when we went to check after a few drinks in bar. Our room wasn't great. Bed frame had a big gap. Lights above the bed moved around. Furniture was like home made bits of wood & painted. Weird stain/fungus thing around bath taps & cracked tiles in bathroom. Kinda dents in bathroom floor under the lino. Maybe it's just room 4 that's bad? The outdoors area & play space for kids were great & so was breakfast. Real shame but the room really needs some TLC.
Rooms comfortable and cool in this heatwave! Beautiful secure grounds for dog to play in. Enjoyed dinner here - sitting in gardens in romantic setting. Hotel used as wedding venue - we enjoyed exploring - even though we were passing through on return from Cornwall.Rooms: 5/5
