No problem in finding York Lodge as the map on the web sight is accurate. The house sits in a pretty garden within a picture postcard village. The landlady is very chatty and friendly. The room was clean (spotless) & the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was ample and tasty and the landlady was very accomodating with regard to my likes and dislikes. If I had one criticism it would be that there was no chair in my bedroom. However I would recommend York Lodge as it is comfortable and sensibly priced. I hope to be able to make a retun visit.

Hard to find via sat nav so take a map... Ample parking, via automated gates.. looks like they are locked but get close enough and they open... 2 Rooms both twin..plus a dining room.. met by friendly lady owner... Beds couldnt be put together in my room as they were of different heights...small TV on wall, small shower room... VERY clean ie spotless... little bowl with soap etc and another for coffee making items...Pot with a few biscuits.. VERY FAST FREE WIFI, well done..this gets you an extra star... Nice breakfast in the morning.. If I was to complain about anything it would have been the fact that the heating goes off in the night (stayed in March) and it gets quite cold first thing in the morning... I would certainly stay again if in the area...especially as other local rooms are more expensive. York Lodge is ideal if you are doing your DSC1 with Jelen Deer services as the course is only 5 mins down the road..and Stockbridge B&B is silly money.. Simply put, small, clean, convenient and at a good price...
