I have been with this surgery all my life, almost 34 years. The original old doctors were amazing but they have now all retired or left. There are a couple of doctors there who are very helpful but like other reviews have said, the receptionists let the place down. They sound aggressive over the phone, answer you back face to face when I was nothing but polite. No need for this. Asking simple questions seem like an inconvenience. I have waited an hour and a half past my appointment time to find the receptionist hadn't marked me as waiting. This has happened twice that i can think of. I don't think I've ever been taken on time. 30 mins plus past your appointment time is normal but don't dare be 1 min late or the aggressive receptionist will have something to say!  If the receptionists were as they should be then i would have gave 4 stars but i have instead given a generous 3 stars

Receptionist is awful....very rude not the first time I have been shouted at or had to write a letter into the surgery! I'm now looking into moving surgeries which is a shame as I have been with this surgery for 11years.

I have never had a problem getting an appointment and while I'm at the surgery it's always been pleasant and everyone kind.  I'm not much of a Google reviewer but the rating is unfairly low and I thought I should try to even it out.  I've been with the surgery for over a year and have had a baby (so quite a few appointments) and have nothing to complain about.

The hours posted here and on Baronscourt's website (8 AM - 6 PM M-F) are incorrect. I don't know what they are, but I just called today, Tues, at 4:25 PM, and the answer machine replied that the surgery is not open. 

I require a ton of medication and blood tests for an incurable, chronic disease, and experience small admin issues every other month on the order of:
Me: "I requested a repeat online three days ago, and haven't heard anything. Is everything okay?"
Receptionist: "I'll have the Dr. Call you."
Dr (voicemail): "This is Dr X. We can't issue a repeat until you schedule a blood test."
Me (next day):"I'm returning a call from Dr. X regarding my repeat request. Please let Dr. X know that I AM scheduled for a blood test, and I am running out of medication as this has taken a week already!"
Receptionist: "I'll let the Dr know."

It works out in the end, but that week of stress and difficulty communicating sucks. Never gone to them with a life threatening issue (knock on wood), but we're stuck between a rock and a hard place (General Practice and A&E). Pick yer poison. I'm American, and prefer this over the US's system.

Know that they've had a receptionist that is just awful. If you try again later, you'll have a better experience with anyone but her. They are also very stretched staffing-wise, but I think that's a problem system-wide.

Very difficult to get help at this surgery - explained in extreme pain need assistance only to be told can be offered appointment in 1 weeks time. Called NHS 24 they say doctors surgery must help me - receptionist hung up on me and acted very obstinate and antagonistic - God help anyone who calls here with a life threatening situation.
