Been going 5+ years for my mental health with 0 progress. The receptionist is extremely patronising and rude. I would sign up for this doctor. Need to update their system. 8 am call in when there online booking available else where. Dr Thomson is very good at telling you your mental health problems are in your head. If you ask for doctors to be more adaptable as I struggle at 8am due to meds so I stay up all night, you get told are you wanting special treatment. This doctors is needing updates fast. Start training your receptionist correctly n not to put voices on when answering. Highly rude
Honestly, don’t normally write reviews, but the place is bloody useless. Was waiting on the phone for about 45 minutes to book a medication review, only for the receptionist to say they were fully booked… it’s a quick 3 min call to tell the doctor I still need my medication, that I’ve been using for over five years. The young receptionist needs to get her head out of her arse as her customer service is as useful as a concrete parachute.
I used to have a good review of the surgery, but sometime in the last 2 years they have gone downhill completely. I spoke to one GP a few months ago, poured my heart out about a suicide attempt, how I was only just holding on and didn't know what to do. Agreed an action plan with him that left me feeling a bit more positive. 2 hours later I get a call from him saying he's spoken to a colleague who's never met me, they decided nothing I said mattered and I'd just be left as I was instead.nnBrought my newborn in today, asking for a specific medication recommended by another health care professional to help him with a problem that's already hospitalised him. Get a call 2 hours later, I've discussed it with a colleague and we've decided to not do that and go with the cheaper medication instead. I know it will exacerbate other problems he's having but at least we'll save a few quid!nnDo yourself a favour and try get into any other surgery before here.
2 days ago went there with a serious lungs or throat infection.nSome studentGPtold me I'm fine meanwhile I was coughing non stop up to my tears.nToday another GP gave me medicine without checking my throat or a chest??nThey always have people who change on weekly basis and just don't care!nSimplenWell we all know we paying for not professional doctor but honestly don't know for what??!!
Got refused after surgery care even though I had checked with my GP prior the surgery whether this will be provided and I was reassured it would be. On the first appointment after my surgery I was told to go private and that they would not cover after care as they don't have the knowledge and the resources to support.
