With regard to the many negative reviews, I can't comment on anyone's experience apart my own, but every time I've needed to speak to someone or physically been into surgery I've been met by polite and helpful staff who provide a solution to my problem. I've called before from work and a colleague commented "wow did you manage to get through to your doctor's and book an appointment in that time? It took me two hours on the phone". It's not been an easy time for heathcare professionals but everyone at Bellevue always seems to be doing there best to help and support their patients.
Please do not join this doctors surgery. I have asthma and a chest infection couldn't get an appointment I had to ring 111. They told me that this doctors need to give me an appointment the same day as duty of care as this is an emergency. The receptionist on the phone was very rude and snobby as if she's a doctor... Literally trained to sit at a desk. Told me I would have to ring at 8am the next day for an appointment like everyone else... I rang this morning no one is picking up. I will be reporting this practice. Unsatisfactory sevcive all calls are recorded so atleast people can listen to how she was. Please avoid.
I had a blood test here 2 weeks ago. The needle injured my vein in a way that half of my arm has been bruised past 16 days. It is still partially purple. Additionally, they are telling me to book a doctor appointment to learn if l have antibodies of the virus against which l was tested. So, l am required to book again to learn my test result. So dissappointing!
I totally agree with the comment from account S K This medical centre is terrible, I rate them below zero. They should be inspected by nhs. they don’t respect patients, very hard to communicate with, doctors are very rude, phone line always busy sometimes waiting up to hour, staff they do their best to turn you away. . in general it’s not one person fault the whole medical centre staff and administration are very bad. I decided to add my voice, maybe will help improve service
The worst medical centre ever. I was having difficulty with breathing and I called them. A guy with a South Asian accent answered the call and said he can only give an appointment after teo weeks. I didn’t have any prescriptions so I said it’s Okay. He was super rude and didn’t care at all. He said a doctor will call me around 3pm. On that day I put a leave and stayed at home but nobody called me. The I called them back and a lady answered and she was super rude to me. She said I haven’t book any appointments and she says I have never called. I have call records even to show that I called. I told her I am in critical condition today as I cannot get an inhaler without prescription but she told me to call 111. Which I did but nobody answered. Then she is telling me to call tomorrow again. She didn’t care about my critical condition or the mistake they made. They should stop playing with patina lived. I hope someone take action agitating these people.
Couldn’t say enough good things about the staff and their services. I have been at this surgery for as far back as a I can remember and have always had amazing doctors and reception staff have always been polite and very helpful. From Dr Rajesh and Dr Carlson to the amazing Dr Stendall. All doctors who have gone above and beyond in supporting not just me but my son and entire family. Dr Carlson detected a lung collapse in my then 14 year old and honestly I believe he is still here because of him. With the complex health needs of my family as a GP surgery they have always delivered. Myself and all of my extended family come here and wouldn’t change. Umbreen
I personally do not agree with a lot of the comments from previous post regarding this doctors surgery. These have been my doctor for the past 6 months and and yes they are a big surgery but if you have patience and just be clear about what you need day to the receptionist , they will go above and beyond for you. Yesterday day afternoon I rang as there was a problem with my repeat prescription they setup up an appointment with a prescriber for this morning so the next day day and unfortunately my phone blocked the first call from them as it came from a private number I rang the surgery and within 20 minutes the doctor called me back and my prescription was sorted in fact because she had not been able to get hold of me she had actually issued the medication anyway!
I don't know why this centre are rated so low score by others. For my own experiences, the Hotline staffs are great and willing to help with my questions, the phone consultation by GP the & interpreter are very smooth and helpful, they are very patient to listen my symptoms and arrange my prescriptions speedy. Thanks to the hotline staffs, Dr A. Sharif, Dr S. Bholah, Miss S. Rashid, Mrs T. Woldai-Shalom and other related. As a patient, be polite to the staffs, they must help you to solve your problem.
It's a Hopeless medical Centre. I have been with this GP for more than 20 years, it is getting worse and worse recent 7 to 8 years. It's impossible to book a appointments, I have been called them since last week try to book a appointments. I hold the line for long time, but when finally someone answered the phone, always NO APPOINTMENT. It seems there's no doctor in this practice. Actually I saw a doctor last year. He was chatting to his wife for a long time in front of me. he was very unprofessional. Perhaps this is one reason for less appointments in this medical center. Chatting with someone during working hours, of course less time for patients. The nurses are lack skilled too. They never can find your Vein in one go. My family numbers, my friends and myself all have experienced this. A few time that 2 nurses are all failed to find the vein. l I've decided to registe with other GP..
Me and my husband were seen by Dr Akinyemi Idowu at Bellevue Medical Centre a few days ago. He was very friendly, supportive and helpful. He listened to us carefully and addressed our concerns. He arrange blood test and further investigation promptly. Overall he provided excellent service and care. We would like to thank this doctor very much.
