It is a lovely pub, dog friendly in the bar area. Food is good but depending on what you have, portions can be a bit small for the price. The real reason I am writing this review is that after a recent meal which came with a small pot of fresh pesto - which was delicious - I was left with a strong metallic taste in my mouth, really nasty. It is called Pine Mouth - it is a thing, who knew? It comes from using a certain type of nuts from China apparently. It is still with me almost a week on but is gradually going. I emailed a heads-up to the pub via their website, but had no response.

Lovely pub, very friendly and love being able to take our dog there. I go back regularly because it's so nice.

As visitors to the area my wife and I chose this pub from the online reviews for an evening meal and were 100% satisfied. Friendly staff, good menu and fair prices. I would recommend this pub without hesitation. Our waitress, Linda, was most helpful.

Wife had mushrooms which she said were nice, sadly my fish was tasteless and inedible. Nice enough pub but food not exceptional
