Noticed that this place did breakfast and so paid a visit. Nice, large airy bar area to sit in, plenty of room and a view of the canal. The breakfast buffet was extensive in my opinion and had all of the usual suspects, including fried bread!! The sausages were top notch as were the hash browns and black pudding, all the other items were very passible considering the very competitive price although on our visit, some of the bacon was hard, but still acceptable with some bean sauce on it to soften the bacon!nAll in all, of you are looking for an eat- all-you-like breakfast at a good price, I would put this at the top of my list

Ate here a couple nights in a row as was staying in the adjoining Lodge. Very welcoming and family friendly atmosphere - only negative is a little noisy at times but wouldnt stop me coming back. Tried a few dishes and all were great. Team very attentive and had very quick service from Sophie, Ashleigh, Alfie and others whose names I did not get. Will return next time I stay! :

I took my son and my niece on the 21st of December and the food was spectacular. The service was with a smile and the surrounding in the atmosphere was beautiful. We go on a regular but this was specifically special as it was Christmas. Thank you so much.

I decided to hold the wake for my Father's funeral here very recently and I'm so glad I did!....it was the perfect venue... especially for members of my family who'd booked to stay in the rooms attached unaffiliated to the venue.nnI'd initially had a few issues getting the venue to confirm the details of my booking...how and when I wanted F&B serving etc. for 40 people but once on-site the day before - Kay stepped up and understood my requirements exactly! Thank you Kay! Your politeness and friendliness towards my family and friends was absolutely wonderful... plus you had a job to do! My family can be trying!...at times!nnI would highly recommend this place for a private function - it was superb and excellent value for money.

Visited for the Sunday carvery and had a very enjoyable experience. The pub has a lovely setting right on the canal, which adds to the relaxing atmosphere and makes it a great place to enjoy a meal and a drink.nThe staff were friendly and welcoming, and the carvery itself was excellent. There was a good selection of freshly cooked meats along with plenty of vegetables and all the traditional trimmings. Everything was hot, well prepared, and generously portioned. The roast potatoes were particularly good.nDespite being busy, service was efficient and attentive. The dining area was clean and comfortable, and the canal-side location provided beautiful views while we ate.nOverall, a fantastic pub carvery in a picturesque waterside setting. Great food, friendly service, and excellent value for money. We will definitely be returning.
