Great hotel in a brilliant location, staff so nice and always willing to help. Cool plant shop just outside is so amazing as well. Will definitely stay there again when I go to Manchester- 5 stars easy
Good: Central location, the rooms are well equipped for an apartment. Dishwasher/washing machine etc. If you are going to cook, you only have use of a convection microwave. The shower pressure and heat is great, bath not so much. The apartment has its own water tank so it's not an endless supply. Surprisingly quiet. Bad: The bed is rock solid! I like a firm bed, but this would be awful for anyone who wants soft/medium. It was like sleeping on a wooden pallet. The sofa was well worn. The building is a bit of a maze to get around, very tight corridors. Overall, this is a ok place, it's clean, tidy and close to everything. Would I stay again? Maybe but only if the price was right?
I like the fact that you get a whole apartment - bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge. Means I can make breakfast, and dinner if I like. When I've stayed here before its always been very comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Unfortunately this time the bed is very hard, which is why I've docked a star. But the rooms are always clean, well appointed and being associated with the uni gets us a great rate.
Serviced apartment was great, a friendly welcome from the gent on reception. Our apartment 1of 3 booked by another nember of our group, was on the 2nd floor views to the side of the property, quiet, very clean & comfortable living space with all you need. Lots of space and tastefully decorated. Fully equipped kitchen, beautiful bathroom & very comfortable bed. Would definitely book this again.
Great place. Stayed in a studio apartment for a week with my bf. Very clean and the staff was nice. Didn't have a car so I didn't have to worry about parking our neighbors car got broken into though. Very close to Manchester Piccadilly and city center. Honestly you can get a tram any where. Sainsburys is about a 3/4 block away. Right across the street from the Gay village. Also great canal walk right next to the village.
Excellent location for a stay in Manchester city centre. I visited some friends who'd booked a 1-bed apartment here for a night out in the city. The entrance looks really impressive, and the apartment itself was clean and had everything you'd need, but the corridors are a little narrow - my friends complained about trying to get their big suitcases through the tiny doors! If you're driving, it's worth knowing that the entrance is on a busy one-way street - if you don't know the area you may find yourself having to go round a few times! There's an NCP car park just round the corner but it's quite expensive.
Our 3rd time at The Atrium, good place. Very central location, close to most everything in Manchester center. Very service minded staff, helpful and reliable. The apartments we have rented have been clean every time, equipped with all that you need for a stay. We will stay here again. Standard of the building is a good mix, so expect some narrow corridors and interesting elevators, take it with a smile, your in England and I belive it's listed building so expect some creaking and wear, it's a charm. Given you're central down town, with lot of pubs, clubs etc in the neighborhood, some sounds from the night life must also be expected.
Nice apartment, with a seperate bedroom, bathroom and living room/kitchen, with plenty in the way of facilities free wifi, cutlery, oven, microwave etc however found the woman at reception slightly abrupt l, particularly when i was shocked to have to pre authorise a payment of £100, just in case the room was damaged. As a sidenote, this wasnt the hotel i originally booked, it was an alternative due to the one i booked cancelling our booking. However when offered this, i wasnt told i would need to have 100 quid handy. All other staff i encountered were very polite however. The bed wasnt the most comfortable but it was perfectly fine for the night. Also parking is fairly expensive for 24 hours as the hotel only offers 5% discount
We stayed at the Atrium over the weekend between two company Christmas parties. I never thought about looking for an apartment to stay in rather than a hotel as I always expected it would have been more expensive. I was very surprised to find it was actually only two thirds of the price of the cheapest hotel I had found and it certainly didn't feel like a cheap hotel. OK, so you don't have the full English breakfast available unless you fancy cooking and cleaning yourself but you're on the doorstep of central Manchester so there are plenty of great places to eat anyway.
Well, without a doubt the location is great. However, there are some issues with the hotel. For the price you pay, you'd expect free breakfast, or at least free internet. No. You have to pay £7 per day for breakfast and £6 per day for the internet or £18 per week, which is ridiculous. I am staying in the one bedroom flat, which is clean. I have a feeling they won't come to clean the room until I check out but you can rent a cleaning service for £20 as I saw at the reception. So, I wouldn't stay here again for the above reasons. I am a smoker and I would expect to be able to open windows so I can smoke by the window but you can't do that either.
