Stayed here for a couple of nights midweek in February. Still out of season so rooms were a good price. Check in time was 2pm but we got there at 11.30 and the staff were lovely. They took our bags and details so we could explore until check in. Location was great to get everywhere we wanted to go. Rooms were a decent size, beds comfortable, tea tray well stocked. There's a separate entrance for hotel guests with a lift should you need it. There's a nice little book buy and swap in the hotel entrance. Would definitely stay here again.
We were looked after by the staff really well. We came boxing day with our two children and staff were brilliant with us . Nothing was too much trouble for them . You can't beat the location and lots of choices on their menu. The room was a good size , warm and comfortable. We didn't have any noise from the bar below, which was amazing. I will definitely stay here again
Popped into Whitby as not been there for years. Wherever I go it's always great to find a spoons as you always know what you are getting. Within reason.nFood was nice and hot, beer was great and the location/views if you get the right tables upstairs is great.
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable, nicely decorated. The pub/restaurant also nicely decorated with great views upstairs if you sit by the windows. The only negative was that there was a long wait for breakfast -45 minutes- possibly because they were understaffed that day.
Managed to book a balcony room in their January Sale . Superb! Don't think we've ever had a 'bad' room here though, & we've been coming since the hotel rooms opened a good few years ago. Great Burns Night meals too . All staff friendly and attentive.
