The first time we stayed here we were made to feel most welcome. Freshly baked cookies and fresh coffee on arrival really set the tone. Dave (one of the owners) immediately treats you like a long-lost friend. Rooms are nicely decorated and extremely clean. I challenge anyone to try to find some dirt or dust in here; this B&B is spotless! Fantastic high quality breakfast, hot/cold, fresh fruit the choice is yours. A vast majority of the produce used sourced locally. We've stayed many times now. The Arches is our number one choice when we stay in Whitby. Give it a try you really won't be disappointed.

We have just returned from our holiday in East Yorkshire. Our stay at The Arches was brilliant. David mine host very likeable and helpful. As were the rest of the staff we met. Place very clean, lovely Egyptian Cotton bedding. Rooms comfortable, showers worked perfectly. Breakfast brilliant with a special everyday and Laura's fabulous homemade marmalade's and jams. In all a home from home. Should I be in that area again The Arches would be my first choice to stay. Well done David and Laura for creating such a peaceful place.

How lovely Dave & the girls were (Sarah & Julie), nothing was too much trouble, food was delicious all freshly cooked. Very clean, & very reasonably priced. All ready booked for next year.
