A lovely pub overlooking the Cam. Steeped in history but modernised so a lot of character has gone. Even so on a sunny day an idyllic place for a drink.
We had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Anchor for our son's birthday. No nonsense service, very good Sunday roasts for 3 of us, succulent burger for another and I had a very nice sweet potato curry. They threw in a complementary brownie which was a bonus. Really nice location too.
Excellent pub by the river Cam, close to the Mathematical Bridge. Great Sunday roast Pork & Christmas Turkey and good desserts brownie and sticky toffee pudding for good price.
