Stove Restaurant & Bar

Had a lovely meal here on bank holiday. Foods really good. We had a reservation but when we got in the place was pretty empty. Service was excellent and very attentive. Recommend if you’re in the lakes for a fancy supper.

Really good food. Range to suit all tastes. Delicious light batter on the fish. Lovely sourdough pizzas, excellent crust. Tasty vegetarian options. Service can be a bit on the slow side but with views like that, what's the hurry.

Went on a Tuesday lunch and it was fairly busy but there was a very scarce number of staff. As far as we could tell one man doing drinks and one lady for food. The food was very very slow to come out (arrived at 1got mains at 2:30). The food was very nice though! The lady on food mentioned before, although she clearly meant well and was kind, she was very informal addressing us as 'love' and such.

It's trying to be all things to all people. Is it a café, a restaurant, a bar or a break out room. In doing all of these things it makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere. The décor is great and the service good but they must review its use. Sat in the most wonderful estate it should be better.
