Brilliantly welcoming little pub. Guinness is good and staff are friendly. Pool table, juke box and darts were all free too which was a bonus. We met so.e great characters in here!
Lovely place in whitby to call in for a beer or two staff and landlady makes you welcome we'll worth a visit .

Visited The Star Inn briefly during a pub crawl along Whitby Harbour. Although it is a Cask Marque pub, there were only three hand-pumped ales - of which two were out of stock and I just had had the remaining one at the pub before that the altogether far superior The Ship. It is a typical old-style boozer with rather worn furniture: a whaterhole. Given the disappointing selection I only had 1/2 pint of too cold Guinness Draught and left quickly for other, better pubs. Cannot recommend it.

Dead as a doornail, we were the only customers in but saying that it was a Tuesday evening after goth weekend. The young bar lad was very friendly
Nice quiet pub most weekends friendly staff. No karaoke which is good for me.
This is a proper pub yippee not a fancy wine bar.
