Do not expect much as comfort or professionalism from staff. Just location. Choose another hotel at least respectful and kind staff with more comfortable rooms and beds.Rooms: 1/5
Probably the worst place I have ever paid to stay in my life. Wasn’t expecting too much as it was a relatively cheap stay because we got a discounted rate. The room was not cleaned, the walls were spattered with some red substance, there was mould all over the walls, the bed was two fold out camping beds pushed together and the room smelled musty and smoky. I think this place is due an inspection. We paid for two nights but could only make it through one because we both woke up feeling congested and sick. I went to speak with reception to let them know we were thinking about leaving and were wondering if we could have the money back for the unused night only. The guy started yelling at me telling me I waited too long to speak to him. On top of all of this they charge for wifi at a price of £5 per half hour! Overall the place is mouldy, dirty, the staff are very unfriendly and I’d have to think twice about staying there for free let alone paying to stay. You can tell that no effort is put in to make their guests stays enjoyable. Shame because the hotel is actually in a great location in London!
1 star is to much. unfriendly unhelpful staff. room was dirty, only 1 curtain which wasn't even long enough to cover window, went and complained night staff not bothered he gave me a sheet which I had to try to cover the window myself then had to use pillows to cover lower part of window. window seals poor letting in draft and noise. Electric socket was broken and unsafe. bed was uncomfortable and legs loose.shower room mouldy and smelly had to keep fan on all the time to get rid of smell. only good thing is 5 min walk from tube.
The owner was extremely rude and the hotel itself was a complete mess. It is definitely not a three star hotel. And this is a big warning to anyone coming to stay here the carpets are wet the rooms smell like a dead cadaver and the place is really over priced. The hotel is filthy with walls cracked and rotten. The beds are like something out of a war torn country and the backboard is all ripped and crumbling. This is a ONE star hotel posing as a three star very very bad place.
Good location. Other than that I would avoid this hotel. The rooms are tiny, and not very clean. In our room, the tv didn’t work, not all the lights did either, there was a half smoked old cigarette on the top on the cupboard in the bathroom took us two days to figure out why it stank!. The breakfast is very basic-toast, pre sliced cheese, hard boiled eggs and cornflakes. The kettle in our room boiled over everywhere when I only put enough in for one cup. A lot of stairs and no lift so it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone who would struggle with several flights of stairs. The staff weren’t very friendly, and tended to look away from you. Oh-one other good point, you can leave your bags there on check out day for a fiver a room. Won’t be staying here again...
Warm welcome, good size room, comfy beds, clean, hair dryer, safe, storage for clothes, tea & coffee facilities, lovely shower with constant hot water warm and cosy, TV. friendly staff throughout from reception to cleaning staff. I am a mother of two 6 yrs & 2 yrs and stayed here on a trip to winter wonderland 2019. My husband and I have enjoyed our stay here with our children and would definitely return.
The night guy was very nice to us as noted by another guest. My elderly parents and I had nowhere to go after our other hotel reservation was cancelled. He had one room and was gracious to allow us to store our luggage. Though very low budget, we had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The hotel is in a good location. I am very appreciative of him working with us.
Hotel room was moldy, had significant damage to paint and walls, no functioning windows, was in the basement without access to a fire escape should an emergency happen. Furniture broken, room smelled moldy and musty. Myself and my guest had to leave the very first night and find new accomodation in London because we didn’t feel safe and felt our health was in jeopardy. Manager and staff mislead me, it took multiple unanswered emails, calls and ultimately showing up to the hotel to get a refund. No receipt of cancellation was ever provided, my card was charged first nights stay before arrival despite the selection of pay at hotel option. It took 7 days to coordinate any kind of refund and the hotel still refuses to refund two nights worth of accommodation based on the 48 hour cancellation policy despite the fact we left 15 minutes after check in and didn’t stay a single night. Would highly recommend avoiding this hotel at any cost.
Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. While this place looks promising from the outside and is in a great location, that's all it has going for it. Our room had a very stained old carpet. The walls had stains and holes. We were on the ground floor and one of our windows didn't even close cause the handle was broken off. The sheets weren't clean. The bathroom was the size of a closet. There was black mold in the shower. A chunk of the bathroom sink was missing. They charge too much for Wi-Fi that hardly works. I had hoped to use one of the two computers in their lobby to print my boarding pass they advertised printing and computer services but was told by the rude receptionist that neither computer works and he couldn't help me. Even after he "offered" to print the pass if I emailed it to their info@ email, he kept saying he didn't receive it and they usually don't. He didn't seem concerned in the slightest that he was not only providing poor customer service, but that the hotel email account was "apparently" unusable for current and potential customers. While the price can be attractive, there are many hostels at the same price that offer much nicer accommodations and customer service.
They charge you for everything. I was in need of an adapter and they charge me 5 euros for it. The remote control requires a 20 pounds deposit to get and the breakfast is pretty basic. The bathroom is too small and the shower doesn't quite get warm. I will not stay in this hotel in the future and I hope you guys find somewhere better to stay while in London.
