This is an overdue review from my stay in early July. I was in a need of a place at last moment for my daughter and I when my current booking fell through. Charlotte was very accommodating and waited up to let me in. The location is ideal and quiet. Charlotte was very helpful with tips and a pleasure to speak with! The morning breakfast bar was plentiful. Highly recommend.
I loved my stay at Barclay House. It was my first time in London, and it's a very busy fast-moving city. Barclay House is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. It was so nice returning there after a day of being on the go non-stop. The bed and breakfast is very clean and very comfortable. The bathroom and the shower are great. Charlotte is the perfect host, always available for whatever assistance or directions that you may need. Highly recommend Barclay House!
I've stayed at the amazing Barclay House several times, and was able to get a room for one night in between other bookings. It's a great location and Charlotte and Adrian are such wonderful hosts, with great ideas for sightseeing, local knowledge and insight into the very latest in London. Charlotte kindly reserved a table for us at the fabulous BlueBird restaurant, where a welcome glass of champagne was offered on the house. Not one to miss! I'll be back again soon.
Excellent luxury B&B! Stayed here for eight nights and really enjoyed it. Beautiful room/bathroom, very comfortable environment, great breakfast, very friendly, helpful proprietors, excellent location just a few minutes from a London Underground station, very short, convenient Tube ride to central London attractions, nice neighborhood. Very highly recommend!!!
Conveniently located in Fulham- a quick walk to the tube takes you downtown, and there are many pubs and shopping in very close distance making The Barclay House a great place to stay. BOOK THROUGH the Barclay house website- not booking dotcom to get a more spacious room. Fresh baked croissants and fruit in the morning, coffee, tea and filtered water available all day long. The room has air con too - and a massive window for fresh air days in London. There are steps required for entry. The shower water is hot and the linens are lovely- in fact I ended up shopping for linens at the White Company due to the quality of what’s was used at The Barclay House. Walkability: Very easy to navigate to Fulham underground station, and bus service readily available. Noteworthy details: The rooms are quiet. You will hear other guests coming and going. Rooms are efficient. Linens are lovely.
The rooms were 5 stars; spotless, upgrade mattress, upgrade shower, great breakfast. Charlotte and Adrian, the owners, were warm and outstanding. Adrian walked us to local restaurants that were clean and served great food. They would assist us in a manner that was helpful and unique. My sister and I decided when we return to London we are only going to stay at the Barclay B and B. This was such an impressive place to stay and made London a wonderful experience. A great price for a 5 star experience.
My baby daughter and I stayed here for 5 days and absolutely loved it! First of all, Charlotte, host of this B&B, is a lovely, service focused, gave good recommendations and proactive host. Extremely helpful! The rooms and bathrooms are clean, modern, beds super comfortable, silent area despite being just next to Fulham Broadway and she provide all kind of practical things you can borrow : umbrella, cloth-brush, extra chair, robe, she got me extra bags so I could get rid of diapers in the bin outdoor right away, fully equipped kitchen. As a person with long hair, I’m thankful for the conditioner provided : I really appreciated that despite I was the only guest for a few days, breakfast was provided in full. Extra star for being so sweet and getting a cake so I could enjoy a bit of afternoon tea : Good coffee, plenty of teas, cookies etc. Thank you Charlotte for a fabulous time - Can’t wait to come back!
Loved my stay at Barclay House London - location was great, very central and the owner Charlotte, couldn't have been more helpful providing me with unique local restaurant tips as well as recommending art exhibitions.Rooms: 5/5
This is a wonderful, boutique B & B with immaculately clean facilities that are very modern and comfortable. The service provided was welcoming, and Charlotte the owner was very knowledgeable about what to see and do. It is near the Fulham-Broadway tube station and a few bus lines, so getting around was easy. There is also a Whole Foods around the corner with eat-in facilities, along with many other restaurants. All around, a wonderful place to stay in London. I would stay there again.
Such an oasis of calm and cosiness in trendy Fulham. The location is just round the corner from tube stop Fulham Broadway but on a quiet leafy street. We very much felt welcome and at home, and this B&B was the perfect base for us to explore the neighbourhood. Our host gave wonderful recommendations, clearly knows the area and places of interest. We would have been lost without her. The room decor is not just beautiful and the rooms are very cleverly designed. I left feeling happy and inspired.
