Absolute gem of a shop and a guy! Sold me my first guitar and fixed it up good for very accessible/reasonable prices when I busted it up early. As someone also said, a treasure trove waiting to be explored!!
Charlie is amazing! A really lovely man who will go the extra mile. His shop is like an Aladdins Cave! You can go in and ask him for almost anything and he’ll have it! What’s even more amazing is he knows where to find each item, I don’t know how he does that lol
An affable, knowledgeable man runs this homely store crammed with a variety of musical instruments, many of which you will never have heard of! A pleasure doing business here, and there's always an eclectic mix of customers trying things out on the beautiful vintage amps.
What a gem!!! To be honest, I was not sure they were open as the shutters were down This is a contender for the best guitar shop in Glasgow. It could do with a little more room but lovely service and conversation with a really interesting range of locally made guitars with stuff to suit all price ranges.
Been using SSM for several decades! Charlie always goes the extra mile and gives old fashioned personal service that is VERY hard to find these Days! Purchases, sales, spares, repairs. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
Just exactly as a music shop should be ,rammed with lovely stuff . It's always been that way and always a pleasure to visit
This is the only music store in Glasgow if you are a Guitar freak. Well worth a visit even if you're not a Southsider. Lots and lots of great stuff and Charlie is the most helpful guy on the planet.
Charlie is the man.. Best guitar shop in Glasgow. I've been a customer here for 30 years and it's the best place to go for honest advice.
If you're in Glasgow and want a guitar, acoustic or electric, this should be your first stop. Charlie the owner is a great guy and has an incredible range of instruments.
A wonderful shop. The day I wandered in there was an original Gibson Nighthawk Custom hanging on the wall. Now it's hanging up in my study here in Hong Kong. I'll definitely be paying a visit next time I'm in Glasgow. Live long and Play Guitar!
