Wish i could make the rating zero stars… One of my worst experiences in my history of visiting libraries. The workers were completely careless, didn’t bother to help with anything, and were so noisy. And worst of all, they keep stalking you while using the computers, and when a few kids came out from the school that is located right next to the library Small Heath LeaderShip Academy the kids were a little noisy and cheeky, which wasn’t that bad, they could have just been told off, instead they got kicked out, and what is worst of all, The workers just came angrily walking around the library kicking out any boy that they saw, so they decided to blame me and all the other innocent teenagers that were doing nothing, and have no relation whatsoever to the naughty kids that were being noisy, so what they decided to do is snatch the mouse and keyboard out of my hands and the other innocent teenagers that did absolutely nothing wrong, and just lock the computer, they did not even allow me and the others to log out of my discord and google account, absolutely disgusting. They kick out children that they think are a threat by being a little noisy, when they are way noisy themselves. 100% NOT RECOMMEND! I will make sure to leave a review on the council page as well. Im no Karen or anyone else, i don’t like to be a snitch or something like that, but they forced me. DONT EVER COME HERE!
Amazing summer activities on this August. Encouraged my kids to go in and read new books and also take part in the reading challenge. It's really useful to have a local library, my kids use the computer sometimes to complete homework. Lovely to see it always busy!
Love coming here. Amazing library. Nice and clean. Books are all organised. Plenty of computer to use. They have free parking. You just have to put VRN into the system.
Closed on Mondays ridiculous the council that broke, there is a leak and the ceiling is broken by the reception area. Went to use the quiet room normally I can access but Wednesday they have a coffee morning and couldn’t acces the quiet room. I needed to listen to my online lesson and take notes, but the people from the coffee area were making a lot of noise, I tried to sit and listen with my audio on the lowest setting as I forgot my headphones for hour and half,l I tried my best to be patient but due to the noise from the laughter and cackling I chose to start to get up and leave, people were talking on their phones and the reception lady thought she could come and approach me as I’m leaving and tell me I cannot have my audio on as the library is meant to be quiet. Oh really it’s meant to be quiet so the noise from the coffee morning wasn’t disturbing for others absolutely appalling next time close the door for the room that is meant to be for quiet study if your having a coffee morning.
Felt like I took a time machine, I used to visit often when I was in primary school but got busy as time flew. The staff are still as friendly as before and the atmosphere is calming, there are times when children visit after school and start making noise from being excited but they didn't disturb/interrupt me so I could continue reading my book. Will try to visit often.
I have been going here since I was a child. Great selection of books and helpful staff. If you park in the leisure centre car park, please register your car reg number at the library, to prevent getting a ticket
I have visited this library since I was a child and I have never really had any queries. The staff assist you when you need help. There are labels on all the book shelves, so it's easy to find books. It isn't an extravagant looking library, with a large selection, but I appreciate it. I feel grateful for this library and I hope it never closes down. I hope as a community, we can preserve this library and improve it.
Poor and bad to loud and noisy it is the worst one I have went to and I went to a lot of library’s I do NOT recommend it for students or other people the staff doesn’t care and is hiding is not doing anything about the noise or anything unacceptable. DONT GO THERE AND WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!
It's good for the local community that this library is still open. Need more books and upgrading of the facility. It's little bit noisy than expected in a library.
Opening hours shown on internet is not true. I visited library on Saturday April 3 at 9:20and library wasnt open.
