Great local library. Plenty of choice, and if they don't have what you want, you can make a request and they will get it for you. Excellent service from staff as always.
Come here for my kids. Parking is very easy compared to acocks green library. Isn’t particularly busy either. Which is a nice a bonus!
Love this library. Friendly and helpful staff, great choice of books and can make a request if something isn't there and it will be brought to this library.
Very good library, friendly staff. Feels like home. I would rather be at hallgreen library then any exotic location. Nothing like a good book
Staff were really helpful. Scanning is free but there’s a charge to print. Just note that if you you don’t have a library card, you’ll need to scan it onto your own USB stick and laptop.
Staff are always helpful. Customers can be a bit loud though, especially when they insist on talking on their phones, despite signs not to for consideration of others, but that's a criticism of modern selfish people, not the library. Plenty of books and CDs to borrow.
Ok library but a bit backwards to compared to a similar sized comparable library in say Edgware, which this library needs to emulate to vastly improve customer satisfaction, eg, a keep open at lunchtime, Sundays, and late evenings - Edgware libraries do it with library card entry, cctv & without staff, why can't Birmingham? Too many times I see people sitting outsize at lunchtimes annoyed at this closure , if you need lunchbreaks stagger them or worst case keep doors open but don't serve, b Barnet libraries each have dozens of study desks dotted around where people can bring laptops to plug & study, why is there no such desks here, doesnt cost anything?, c the meeting room upstairs should also be made into a 30-40 desk quiet study room like Edgware library has Google it and you'll see its open 7am-11pm without staff for half the time & always populated, it doesn't cost anything extra but greatly increases user satisfaction & will improve student exam grades for users that don't have a quiet room at home. It's just being unutilised 99% of the 24hr day which is sad uni lib study room are open 24hrs! d never seen any smiles from the librarians during interactions despite them having customer facing roles & having the least stressful jobs in the world :
Very nice collection of books for children and i love their urdu books selection, would be great to add some new books too. I would have given 5 stars but im very disappointed that they din't have a public toilet, most importantly they dont have a baby changing room
Since the re - opening of Hall Green Library after the recent lockdown I have used the Hall Green Library twice now and have always before and now have been well looked after. The staff are always polite, help to hand, dedicated and well mannered even though now their job role has gone to another level by following the covid 19 guidelines. 11/10 from me to the staff for your help and support and thumbs up for knowing your job role properly. I travel 2.1 miles to Hall Green Library from my home each week and before the pandemic had started leaving Sparkhill Library behind as the staff and the place are rude, dirty and the security guard thinks he's the gaffer of the place. Birmingham City Council should send their Sparkhill Library staff to Hall Green Library for re train on how they should carry their job role. Once again BIG thank you to team Hall Green Library for your dedication to the community and to the people of Birmingham.
A good library with plenty of computers to use. The staff are very happy to help and friendly. They did some photo copies of some important paper work for me. Would recommend this place but always check opening times.
