A very modern hotel in the old fashioned seaside resort of Sidmouth. The restaurant has lovely views of the sea and cliffs. The food was well presented and tasty. The two course dinner with a bottle of wine for two was good value. All the staff we met were very friendly and professional. A nice touch in the rooms is a complementary decanter of sherry and gin. We enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool and jaccuci. Unfortunately the sauna and steam room were out of use. Quality thick fluffy gowns were provided in our room. We had a most enjoyable short stay.

Immaculately clean and modern hotel. Nautical theme runs through the whole hotel. Clean white and light blue everywhere. Reception staff very helpful and accommodating. Plenty of parking. Bar area very modern with light modern jazz funk music playing. Very well stocked bar. On this occasion I was upgraded to a massive double room with complimentary drinks including sherry. Bathroom totally spotless and modern. Faultless stay. There is a gym and signposting suggested outside pool but in December not interested. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from town centre. WiFi top notch!

Upon arrival we were greeted kindly by reception staff and shown to our by a gentleman who was very helpful showing us around room and how to get to it. There is a mini balcony and there was complimentary Gin and Sherry in the room along with tea and coffee facilities. Amazing size bed and bathroom, Id highly recommend staying here. Dinner was delicious and the staff were very helpful as well.

Attended a wedding reception and very impressed by the service provided by all staff members during our time. The venue itself was lovely, wonderfully well designed and a very flexible space with a great view. We were sectioned off, for the most part, from the rest of the hotel which worked well, but no one minded if we went through to the main bar to have a look around or have access to more diverse drink selection which was great. Food was very well prepared and tasted great. Good selection of everything on offer too. Overall just a very enjoyable evening.

An off peak visit for afternoon cream tea. The Upper Deck restaurant is very nice with excellent views. They had an offer of Tea for Two for £22 whuch we thought was very good value. My only comment is the chunky cups and drippy tea pots. A "posh" afternoon tea should be a "delicate" experience without the teapot depositing its contents on the table.
