Excellent bar restaurant and hotel just metres off sea front in the middle of esplanade. Stayed here a few times and the rooms are modern, clean containing all the mod cons like TV coffee machines water and tea and coffees. Restaurant has a really pleasant vibe. Whenever I have stayed its always busy from early on with a great sense of professionalism. However I haven't actually ever eaten here. My room no5 booked through third party site was classed as single bed. In fact it would be classed in other hotels as a double. It was had a great sea view as well. A classic case of under stating and over delivering. We'll done Dukes!!

Great place to eat and drink. Clean and good seating areas. Good menu choices from local foods and beers. Lovely and lively atmosphere in the summer months with often live music and outdoor seating. Close to the beach

We stopped in at Dukes on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The staff were more than accommodating and helpful to my husband and I with our 1 year old. The food was delicious and very quick, really nice atmosphere and very friendly. Would highly recommend and we will return. Customer service was great.

I didn't like dukes when I first moved to Sidmouth. I thought the prices were too high and there wasn't any drinks that I liked. But I admit I was wrong about my initial impression. The staff have really made it for me. I can't remember their names but there's 3 staff members, that have turned my initial opinion on its head. They are hospitable, and can really help if you ask and need them. We didn't have any dinner for our son who is 15 months old, so we enquired about a smaller portion. The gentleman who served me, helped so much and my son had a great portion of lovely food. That helped us greatly. Just could do with a wider selection of ciders but bar from that not bad at all

We did a walk-in whilst travelling along the coast and stayed for one night. The person we spoke to and checked in with (Clare) was very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and comfortable with a great shower. Breakfast was also good. The only negative was being woken by people talking outside our window in the morning.
