I love this elegant, comfy and very friendly cafe. I've been several times and the owner is especially delightful and helpful, as are all the staff I have encountered there. The coffee is great, the decor is stylish whilst being homely, it is light and airy throughout thanks to the big windows on all exterior walls. And the food is really great. I've had their cakes before, and today I had a baked sweet potato with tuna salad, and my mum had a cheese scone with brie and fig jam (this was a mix of 2 things on the menu). Everything was superb. The brie was the best I've tasted in a long time! I have also sat in the window chair and sketched the view outside before, no one pesters you for staying too long, and the old architecture outside is lovely to look at. My new favourite cafe in Sidmouth. 😊

We stumbled across this little cafe and chose to have a pit stop here as they had outdoor seating in a lovely little sun trap (with parasols though, for those that want them!). We had the nicest cream tea here, ever! Plus, the staff were so friendly. You get a good view sat outside too.
