Amazing breakfasts. The Benedict eggs are a must. Fantastic sourdough. Very friendly waitresses

The Bloody Mary was a delight, though we were left a little wanting on the house breakfast. The sausages were quite Richmond’s like. The tomato’s and mushrooms however were sweet and earthy.

Bought a full breakfast and coffee. Coffee was nice but too small. Asked for fried eggs with cooked white and runny yolks. I received overcooked eggs with dry yolks, the bacon was burnt and the toasted bread was so hard I couldn't eat it. The sausage and black pudding were good. Nearly 30 quid for 2 breakfasts and coffee, I expect perfection. This wasn't even close. I wasn't asked how the food was until I asked for the bill, after which I got a whopping 10% reduction off the price. Slow service, inattentive staff and lacking in basic cooking skills. I'm no chef, but even I can cook a decent fry-up! I won't be back.

Great local cafe/bar that's a bit less trad than most offerings down the hill in Morningside. Brunch a particular highlight where I can't go past the huevos a la flamenca. Quite a short menu but still plenty of good options to choose from. Not particularly cheap but good value for money. Good coffee and looks like a decent selection of beer and wine too.

The best eggs Benedict in town. Nice atmosphere, great down to earth service and decent coffee at not too crazy prices. A star is taken off after my last visit however - the bacon was chewy and covered with 'cheap bacon white stuff' which was a tad off-putting, while the eggs remain the best.
