My favourite coffe house with the best Nasi Lemak in Edinburgh so far. The food we had was amazing, the drinks were so good. Sometimes we need to wait for a while to get the table, but the taste and the quality of the food and service are always worth the wait. The staff were also amazing. And their toilet doesnt use tissue here, which makes it even more sustainable.
A strong craving was finally quenched! We loved the food and the drinks. The nanyang kopi paired with the Kaya toast was a true highlight, reminding me of breakfast at Ya Kun Kaya Toast, would highly recommend! The atmosphere was very homely and the small details like the house rules were very amusing.nWe waited about 30 mins for a table but thankfully it was worth the wait, as we managed to get the last curry puff of the day.nWe will be back to try the Lunch menu as the Curry Laksa is calling!!
Most insane roti ever. So crispy, so fresh. Hong Kong toast also unreal. Bread so crispy and soft and the peanut butter and condensed milk combo was ridiculously good! Lovely service too. Only disappointment is they don’t do the big lunch menu during the week which I wanna try!
The murtabak was really good. I was a bit unsure about putting haggis in it, but they managed to pull it off very nicely. The dipping sauces were all very good.nnI also ordered a black coffee but it was a bit meh, there was a quite a bit of earthy funk in it which I am not a fan of. I would say, get your morning coffee fix somewhere else and only come here to get food.nnThey only have 8 seats 4 tables in the shop so there could be a bit of a wait during rush hours. I came at about 11:00AM on Saturday and there was a line. I waited for ~45 mins may not be representative as some customers were just chatting and not even touching their food and missed the 11:45 breakfast time by a hair but they have no problem letting me ordered from the breakfast menu. The staff were all great!
What a great discovery! Authentic Singapore kopitiam dishes and drinks here in Edinburgh. We enjoyed Nasi Lemak with delicious light coconut rice, the flakiest Roti Canai, curry puffs, Kopi-C and Teh Tarik all of which felt pretty authentic. Prices are pretty reasonable for UK too.
