What a fantastic place and lovely owner! We had the most amazing veggie hot dog and super nachos! There's a substantial menu which can all be fully customised by the super-helpful staff. The food was delicious, all fresh and homemade. Really tasty smoothie and tea as well. And all good value for the size and quality. Small place so ideal for couples or small groups/families only imho. Overall would highly recommend for meat eaters, veggies, or vegans wanting a light bite or good meal 😀

pancakes are SO good. If you’re an American abroad missing breakfast foods from home, I recommend Bluebird highly.

The food was so so, the pancakes was extremely heavy and the scone couldn't stick together at all but that one was tasty though. My coffee drinking sister got something more in the way of americano when she ordered a latte, so if you want a lot of milk in your coffee then you probably need to tell them. They were very nice and helpful with the turist tips and the tiny café was so cosy.

Fantastic food & service!! Everything we ate was phenomenal! So good we went 2 days in a row. Texas sized portions, so you definitely will not leave hungry!! The owner of the cafe is super friendly as well. Baked goods were homemade each morning! Yummy scones!! If I'm ever back in Edinburgh, I will stop again!
