Really busy but always a good sign. Was able to watch chefs in open kitchen work hard to produce really good looking food. We had Kedgerie and full Scottish , excellent! Chris our waiter was very attentive.

Amazing lunch time cafe! Locally sourced fresh ingredients, and able to cater for Gluten Free. Lovely home made Gluten Free bread available which made a real difference from eating GF run of the mill packet bread. Staff very friendly and attentive, great atmosphere! Will be back next time we are in Edinburgh

Service was really bad. Went in, none of the waiters greeted. So I just stand there and wait for a few mins. I finally got my seat, and waited again for the menu, the waiter came served water, and said “oh you haven’t got a menu?” Then I waited too long for it, I just went to the cashier and ordered. It happened again when I asked for the bill, no one came. Also they said there was a problem with the card machine, but then I saw it worked for other guests. Disappointing service. Shame for a place that has good foods but, I will not come back for the service reason.

The food was tasty and the cafe has a nice atmosphere. The staff were very polite but several of our orders got mixed up or simply forgotten. The kitchen also ran out of a few ingredients for the Scottish breakfast so they improvised a little bit. Would have been nice to be asked first if we want to change our orders instead. To be fair we were a group of 5 and we had arrived Saturday morning during peak time.
