My Sister-in-law spent the night at St. Barts hospital ward 4c. Well what an experience it was for us as a family coming from Wales.nThe ward was spotless, the staff were very presentable so kind and compassionate with us all. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Two failures of biopsies at previous hospitals in wales but St.Barts you done it.. Thank you so much !! We are forever grateful to you all. Now after such a long wait we are hoping for some positivity from your efforts.nThank you again..nAlison..nNiamh..nMandy ..
Had a cardiac ablation here, stressful and upsetting but the staff were so so lovely from start to finish. They were attentive, caring, and even just before the op when I was having a small meltdown, multiple surgeons I hadn't met before came over to cheer me up. The overnight unit staff were lovely and I was surprised how chill the atmosphere was there- not stressful and loud like other overnight wards I've been in. If you're having this- don't worry you're in the best hands!
Sadly I wanted to go to this hospital but cannot get referred because I do not live in catchmentnI live on outskirts of Londonn35 min on trainnnWhy in Uk do we pay out taxes to be told we have choices to choose our treatment and place on the nhsnnI wanted endercronology referral because they specialise in this at St Bart’snnBut it seems St Bart’s only open there doors to localsnnWhilst I fully appreciate they are entitled to accept local referral the NHS is for everyone and if you look on line it says this exact wordingnn“ you have a choice “and you can choose where you want to be referred to and what specialistnnThe government needs to stopnHospital for acting like it is private when it’s an NHS hospitalnnThe nhs is not doing well but why should other hospitals have to accept patients from all over which they do but St Bart’s decides who they will acceptnnDoes not sound like how the NHS is run to me and I ask someone like health minister to look into this
My partner is going though cancer treatment at this hospital.nBarely any appointment went without issues. Scheduling team is horrendous. Appointments constantly get moved or cancelled without any notice and for no reason. Recently wrong blood results were send, which resulted in the chemotherapy appointment cancellation during holidays, when it's almost impossible to reach anyone in the hospital.nIt's really hard to get hold of nurses, doctors and schedulers. We've been given a phone number of oncology nurses, but their phone was off for more than a week now.nWe tried to speak to schedulers and oncologists about these issues, but all they do is to shake their heads and refuse to accept any responsibility for their mistakes.
Went to breast clinic here..the staff here are absolutely brilliant, one lady in particular ive met on 2 occasions now..sade, is such a lovely nurse.nyou are seen here really fast.nOnly bad thing about this hospital is lack of parking, there is none! I had to get a ticket in order to have my appointment..but hey-ho
