it is nice area in the middle of gay village. a very nice statue remembering the sacrifice of Alan Turing. Starting point of walking tour.
Huge part of British history behind the Sackville Garden. Totally worth a walk to and through when in the area, just a shame about the utterly disgusting amount of litter being left by people. It really just shows the true disrespect towards any pride in local history which seems to be a theme throughout Manchester. Litter is literally everywhere and truly takes away from the beautiful sights.
I visited sackville Gardens for a vigil of a young person who was sadly taken away from us. Her memory will live on forever. Rip Brianna
Little scape gargen just off piccadilly train station in town. Take a break from the busy hussel and bussel office life. Follow for more adventure on FB and YouTube '2 Muslim Night Riders'
A very Beautiful place, and was a pleasure to met the Alan Turing statue.
Nice gardens with some lovely sculptures and good history of LGBT people. Next to Canal Street. Seen a free walking tour go through here too. Had a few homeless people in the park sleeping but were no issue.
We had a great time and the stalls vendors and facilities where great and the staff helpful and friendly and lovely place for all the family to visit
Two wonderful monuments, one to Alan Turing and the other for all those affected by HIV/AIDS that chronicles it from a Manchester perspective with annual plaques. The square was a quiet oasis a little off the busy streets. It could do with a clean, but felt safe, accepting and tranquil.
Always go for the Manchester Pride Vigil and was not disappointed. The amazing space was occupied and great atmosphere for all. Really loved it
An oasis near the very centre of the city. It can get busy and the close proximity of bars can make is less peaceful at times. Having said that, it's still a lovely little retreat.
