Helped by Ojo. Brilliant customer service, a credit to the company. It was a busy, stressful night and drivers were complaining about congestion but he remained calm, courteous and helpful - even when being shouted at by other rude drivers. I wouldn’t have been able to stay so cool under such pressure! He even advised where the nearest alternative Q-Park car parks were on a very busy Saturday night in Manchester. Excellent.
AVOID! My car was broken into with 2 windows smashed and personal belongings stolen including bank cards. Supposed to be secure however far from it!
Skip this car park place if you can. You’ll most likely drive around for 15-30 mins before you either get a spot or decide to leave elsewhere. Great facility potentially but some over smart fella decided it’s better to paint black boxes on a grey floor instead of the usual lined bays and almost everyone is parking across lines and using up more than one slot as it causes an illusion. You’ll take a ticket and enter the parking only to find out circling around and around to find a spot! Such stupidity. I’ve seen this a year ago and still the same. People end up parking in weird corners also. Because their systems think there are empty spaces, you are allowed in and then end up driving with no chance of parking because people are getting confused with their bays and parking in more than one bay. They’ve not addressed this problem.
Terrible parking experience. Difficult to find and confusing entry instructions. We had pre booked an overnight space for £29 and had been issued a digital ‘ticket’ but the machine wouldn’t scan. Had to press button for normal ticket. Then spent the next 30 minutes driving round along with dozens of other people trying to find a space. Eventually we had to force staff to raise barrier and let everyone out. Utterly chaotic shambles.
After reading a few reviews about this carpark, was a little worried, as staying at a nearby hotel and this carpark was recommended. BUT I was pleasantly surprised. Arrived at 3pm on a Friday, carpark very clean and well labelled, a Range Rover was trying to squeeze into a space on the first floor right by the ramp to go up and caused a traffic jam, even though second floor was practically empty. Found a space super easily there. Car was safe and attendant was very helpful at showing us how to pay on our way out the next morning. Would be happy to park here again.
Shambles of a car park! Drove round for 30 mins looking for a space, after finally getting 1 the challenge started! Trying to get into these spaces is a nightmare, by far the tightest spaces I've ever seen in a car park! everyone had to get out the car, I had to fold my mirrors in and reverse as close as possible to the pillar on my left which still left no space to get out the door, I had to climb over to the back seat and exit via the passenger rear door. Looking at all the spaces you could see the same problem, definitely wouldn't use again
Extremely disappointed with this car park. We have used q parks many times before in different cities and always been happy but this time was ridiculous! It was a Saturday night when we arrived about 5.30pm. We were driving around the car park for at least 30 minutes to get a space even when we had pre booked. In the end the only reason we got a space was because I got out of the car and stood in an empty space for my partner to drive into. Thankfully the people leaving helped by reversing back in the space so that another car couldn't take it. Avoid avoid avoid !!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I was charged £30 for less than 24 hours, in fact, it was only around 8 and a half hours. There was absolutely no signage for the price of the car park, as we had never been to Manchester before, we had thought it would be the same as any other city especially as we frequent Nottingham and Sheffield. I expected to pay around £11 for the time we were there, however when I put my parking ticket in the machine, it stated I owed £30. I only paid so that I was able to leave the car park. We looked around for any kind of price list once again and still did not see anything. After we left, my partner Googled the car park to find that £30 was for a period of 24 hours and allegedly I should have been charged £28 for the time I had been there. This place is an absolute rip off and I will be seeking an immediate refund, failing this I will be reporting it to my bank and putting it forwards as fraud
We pre-booked and paid in advance, but then when we arrived a notice told us the car park was full. It took 25 minutes waiting/driving around the car park before we eventually got a spot when someone left. No staff on hand to help. Then when we left it transpired it would have been cheaper to just pay on the day. Not impressed.
Booked and paid in advance, when we arrived we were met with several cars going the wrong way down a one way street- I think sat navs are responsible for this. Eventually got into the car park and collected a ticket, drove around both levels in the bowels of Manchester looking for a space despite there being none and all the while more cars were coming into the car park and joining the circling queue. Eventually happened upon someone leaving and managed to just fit into the smallest of spaces. Having had a stressful drive down to Manchester this was the last straw for me. How can you pre pay for parking but not guarantee it....the lottery had better odds of winning than actually getting a parking space when the world and his dog who haven't booked parking have the same chance as you when you have booked and paid. Never ever using Q Park again..
