Excellent even if you've no interested in steam the engine is spectacular moving parts are absolutely enormous. The engine side staff are pleasent and lunch is served by some very nice folk. USUALLY BANK HOLIDAYS & FREE.

Fantastic place, so great to see it under steam and working. Definitely would go back. Always wondered what was inside the building

Mint classic car show twice a year & also opens whole place up with old trams/buses etc for children/adults to ride, great day out & free. Hope the tradition keep going. Well done to all the staff & volunteers.

A real life working museum if you like old victorian engineering and technology go and see it you can walk up on the top floor next to the massive beams and on the bottom where the boilers are it is only open certain times a year bank holidays and such so check before you go and the last Sunday in October they have a classic car show on so you can see both at the same time

loved this place.All I can say is if you like steam don't miss this engine. Great place to spend a day when engine is steaming.
