Brilliant as always. First time in the new Tiny Tyneside and have to say it didn't disappoint. We spent a good 45 minutes playing with the ride-on cars, climbing up and down the bridge, playing captain on the mini-Turbinia and mini-Mauretania ships as well as exploring the interactive gears and trains. My only complaint would be that parents with older children seemed to think it was acceptable for their kids to run and jump when the little ones were trying to play.
Free entry which I was surprised at. A good way to kill a few hours, it was really informative. Well laid out and there was plenty in there to see. A lot of the interactive displays weren’t working properly. Still a great visit. Plenty of toilets. A nice little cafe. Only 10 minutes from the train station.
A delightful experience on the doorstep which has free entry.nnThere are multiple floors of exhibitions, and a lot of local history to read up on.nnThere are toilets on numerous floors, as well as a lift.nnThe café is located on the top floor.
Great selection of history and science stuff to look at and watch most free too but donation boxes around if you want. Only bad thing was the cafe drinks were nice but food was not great. Also my son has peanut allergy and they gave salad with a tuna sandwich that was not stated so only did checks on the sarnie.
This discovery museum offers a wonderful learning experience for children. The engaging exhibits kept my little ones entertained for hours. The collection is well-curated and fosters a sense of curiosity. It's a fantastic place for families to spend quality time together. We highly recommend a visit to this enriching museum.
