This place is just amazing. So many activities to keep the kids entertained that are fun while being educational. We saw the dinosaur exhibition which didn't disappoint. My 7 year old loved the 4d ride and extracting DNA in the lab. My 4 year old when asked what was her favourite bit replied 'I don't know, it was all amazing'. Food in the cafe was very nice and reasonably priced. A great day out.

Great place for kids! The centre is divided into five main sections. The first section is called Dino jaws, featuring life size animatronic dinosaurs. The planetarium runs various instructor led shows throughout the day. You can experience naked eye astronomy and live skies here. The third section is a 4D motion ride featuring Rusty, an extraterrestrial robot. The ride lasts for five minutes and is very enjoyable. There is also a Science theatre which displays shows off various scientific experiments and demonstrations. The last section consists of various zones like experiment zone, curiosity zone and brain zone. Apart from this, the centre also runs various workshops depending on the time of the year.

Plenty to do, literally could've spent all day here. Both kids enjoyed themselves aged 18 months and 5. We even enjoyed a chocolate work shop. Cafe was a bit pricey 2 juices and 2 little cakes costing a tenner but minus that was a great day out. Especially loved the dinosaurs.

While this place has a lot of interesting displays and interactive areas - the actual set up is just chaos. People were just being allowed in until the place was at bursting point, there were only one or two staff dotted around and children were just running riot unsupervised by parents who clearly visited the centre to slow their children to do just that. The place seemed to be 70% cafe or eating areas too. The dinosaur displays were brilliant and we enjoyed seeing the models but again there were just like children running around, screaming and causing havoc while parents chatted on their phones or generally ignored them. I felt the place could do with considerably more staff presence and smaller numbers being admitted at any one time. Toilets also suffered from the crowds and they were in a state.

Went to see the inside out exhibition which was fantastic and enjoyed the rest of the life centre while we were at it! Great centre, lots of interactive things to do and a planetarium and 4D showing to go to, included in price. The centre usually hosts an various exhibitions in addition to a 3D or 4D motion ride and Planetarium. If you are keen to see a particular exhibition then the entrance fee is worthwhile otherwise it can seem a little expensive, especially if you are a large family group ( although there is usually something of interest for all ages, especially kids.)
There are various time slots allocated for the ride and planetarium which is a good system as it ensure you have a chance to get in as it can get very busy.
