A beautiful and interesting museum space. Loved the farm especially the giant pigs. Above all the volunteers were fabulous; knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge. They clearly love the place. Bede would have been proud! I shall return. Well done all concerned.

Very informative and educational for children and history lovers. Tells the life and works of the monastery and bede, brings the way they lived to life and staff will do small demonstrations on how they made clothing. Outdoor farm with pigs goats ducks cows and rabbits to see. Very affordable at £5 per adult. We'll worth the money. The bee hive is a coffee shop on site where sandwiches salads and cake is available at affordable price parking good. pushchair and wheelchair friendly

Really enjoyed visit with Ridgeway school. Class was shown around some great live stock such as hens. goats .pigs and taught how to light a fire with sparks and sample cooking with open fire in mud hut like they used hundreds of years ago

Lovely staff and guides. Friendly and helpful. Would be very knowledgeable and fun for the kids. They have tried to replicate life on an Anglo-Saxon farm. They have quite a few exhibits too. And there's a quaint café named The Hive coffee company.

Good but quite small indoor museum. Nice outdoor farm and buildings. Unfortunately didn't spend too much time there as it was raining heavily.
