I found the whole hotel charming, yes it is in need of some updating/renovations but I could tell that is what they were doing or at least beginning to do so outside with the scaffolding.nnThe room was quite spacious, the biggest I have had during our time traveling. It was quiet, clean and served its purpose well.nnFood wise we had dinner and breakfast both which were excellent.nnI found the staff at the restaurant and front desk to be very pleasant and friendly.nnThe only negative I can think of is the parking situation, for such a large hotel it does not have much parking and I only got lucky with the spot we got.nnAltogether I would return here for sure in the future.
Stayed here for a quick trip. Beautiful building, which is a little tired, but you can see there are ongoing renovations. I had a room at the back of the hotel, which was lovely and quiet. The staff are helpful and polite. The food in the restaurant was beautifully cooked. My room was larger than expected, and on 2 levels.
We stayed at the Victoria hotel in July 2024, for a wedding. We arrived on the Friday night and found numerous issues, mould, damp, unclean etc. We unformed staff of these issues and they did their best to help. After the stay I have emailed, phoned and have even gone in the hotel to speak to the management…. With no response. I now feel the only way to get an apology is to write a tough review on here.
The hotel has seen better days - but it was being worked on. We were there for afternoon tea - maybe the only people there for 3pm. Been several times as a treat but maybe it's time to look for a change.
The place is a bit tired and could do with a refurb.nnThe staff are lovely, honest and very helpful so top marks to them!nnThe upstairs bar area is nice and has a piano, I don't know if it's played.nnThe food in the restaurant was good - we were a large catered group.nnThere are lots of things to do in St Leonards and you are well placed on the front to go out and about so good for that, too.
