Story

Each year we care for over 900,000 people who come to us for emergency treatment, planned operations and medical care. We are a teaching hospital in partnership with Keele University and we have a patient-centred clinical research facility providing state-of-the-art facilities. Our new £370m hospital became fully operational in 2015. Development work on County Hospital will be completed in late 2017.

I don't usually review at all. But i thought this was praise worthy and may help someone. I was at the mental health unit at Stoke Royal Hospital their care was great. Some nurses were exceptional even, the two nurses allocated for me oh so caring. I had to have surgery, all doctors and staff nurses were great. I'd give more starts for all that if i could :) but unfortunately 4 stars only because there A & E service nurses could do with abit of empathy, I know it's busy and stressful but it doesn't take much to be a tad bit kinder. Overall great services x

First visit today with my mother to the nuclear department. It was a long day there but what a fantastic hospital. I would like to compliment you on your staff and the care and services they provide.  Nothing was too much trouble,  all pleasant and helpful. From cleaners, receptionists, porters to nursing staff and doctors. My mother and father use a walking stick and I'm using a crutch at the moment, every door we came to, a member of staff rushed to open a door or hold one open. The young lady that was working with Rob today took real good care of my mom. The hospital is spotlessly clean. Plenty of disabled parking which can be a problem at other hospitals. Congratulations. Thanks to all staff.

My son spent 6 nights on ward 216a and i could not thank the staff enough for their kind,supportive and incredibly patient care towards both myself and my son. They went above and beyond and do an incredible job. Thankyou so much .

DO NOT SEND ANYONE HERE
Abusive.

One of my family members got into a motorcycle accident, he is always careful on that thing, he was hit by a car and risked death with a collapsed lung. The driver was in the wrong, he braked when he knew he was behind him, luckily a doctor was on site to help him while the ambulance arrived.
Once he got to the hospital he got care, however later into his recovery he began getting abuse off of a certain female nurse who was deliberately clumsy with everything, unapproachable and when she 'thought' she was alone with her co-workers, she asked them, and I quote, "What the f*** is wrong with him anyway?" Later on he apologised despite the fact that he was not in the wrong. If my family member was in a bad mood, can you blame him? He's been in a serious accident and they decide to treat him like sh**. 
Utterly disgusting staff.
If you have a family member who has been in a serious accident, please DON'T SEND THEM TO THIS HOSPITAL...

My daughter Amy has had another stay in hospital on ward233. Amy who has Down's Syndrome plus implement medical needs was once again treated with care and respect. The incredible staff , this includes the cleaning team always go out of their way to spend a little extra time chatting with Amy, making her feel at home. Despite their being extremely or rather more than extremely busy on this ward. A massive Thankyou to them and the C F team who got Amy a bed straight away and continue to support her and myself. Thankyou everyone all your hard work is appreciated.
