Oh my god. The curry Goat was perfect. Not a single bone or piece of gelatine. The rice and peas fluffy with just enough spice. My friend got the hot doubles said it was the best he'd ever tasted. Definitely going back. Definitely recommended.
I don't even want to give it 1 star. The woman who served me had such a hard time smiling and being generally pleasant. Like what is your problem! Have some decent customer service for Pete's sake! Anyway I ordered a Patty and it was the most driest, tasteless Patty ever. Much like the service! The Patty even cut my throat as it went down. Got half way and just threw it away and I don't have money to waste like that so that should tell you how bad the whole situation was! Such a simple process was such a bad ordeal. Am I being dramatic? Absolutely not.
The food is great, but the service is ALWAYS bad! The ladies always take my order like its a burden to them. They NEVER smile, or show general respect for paying customers. They need to work on that, because if there was another roti shop in Croydon, then I would NEVER go back there. Apart from terrible service, the food is nice and authentic.
Unfortunately the Roti was terrible please they heated up roti it was dry and unfresh . The curry chicken was tasteless #unseasoned, the potaoes were sour and off. Wouldn't feed it to my dog ....so sorry! The one star was for the can of coke
I have to say today was highly disappointing , the senior Trini gentlemen that usually serves there is an absolute great representative of the shop but unfortunately there was a younger gentlemen there today who I bought one normal roti and one buss up shut from , when I got home I couldn't believe it when I opened up the packet , what they called "buss up shut" was broken up roti skin somewhere in between roti skin and a bake, the chicken curry was so watery it was more like chicken soup and the normal roti was soooo dry, i had to throw all the food away. I called up as I wanted to give honest feedback and all the younger Trini gentlemen wanted to do was argue with me , I told him I'm trying to help him so that other customers don't talk negatively of their food but unfortunately he did not want to hear any of what I had to say and was rude disrespectful and non-attentive , I asked him if it was a different cook today and he was miserable in his response, he said that how come I'm the only person complaining today and he's sold the most chicken curry he's ever sold?? i told him it seems a little unusual as I appeared to be the only customer in the shop today, but regardless Is this how you speak to a customer trying to help give you honest feedback to improve your service, wow I was in shock , the elder Trini gentleman would've been appalled to see how this guy did not take responsibility , he couldn't even say sorry at the very least, he said he can't see the roti so can not take my word for it so now I've decided to let him see the roti, i wish i could cost a picture of it on here to be honest for all to witness, I've written this report as he would not listen to me on the phone , all this could've been avoided. It's a shame because up until this point I was a fan of roti master but this is a really bad experience and they have really let themselves down and the west indian community, the younger trini gentlemen should not be put in a position to serve the public as he is not taking on board the feedback to enhance the company and provide better product. I spent good money on the food there and I had to throw it away, a massive shame.
What is it with these wannabe yuppy Croydon community college himbos and bimbos? Y’all never shut up about wanting the ‘authentic experience’, ‘authentic food’ etc. Well this place is authentic! There is NO Customer service in Trinidad and Tobago, it’s not Barbados or Bahamas whose only life line to crawl up the ladder of western development is tourism. TT has OIL and Gas and that’s gives TT attitude, no Customer Service Nicities needed here son! The uneveness of the food quality? Of course that’s Trini coz you never know what time the cook woke up from his drunken slumber. And here's some cultural literacy for folks who are fooled by so called ‘Trini experts’ postings, the authentic trini dish doesn’t exist, as food is traditionally home cooked meaning much variation there are a dozen doubles’s taste variastions from a dozen vendors which is great! Appreciate or go to friggin McDonalds/KFC clone food which tastes the same at every outlet. Me? I still go here from time to time to remind me about the ‘authentic Trini’ street food experience, and why I left that place.
This place is a joke food has no love, doubles were hard. Will not wast my money with these rude people. I would rather go all the way from Croydon to Clapham Roti Joupa who serve with a smile and food is real authentic food. Please don't waste your time or money with these crabbers. They will tell the food you ordered has no pepper only to find out that it's loaded with pepper and can not be eaten. I'm dissapoint how dare you serve this tripe to your own people? Anything for money I guess
Authentic Trini food. Went to the one in Croydon. Can eat in or take away. Parking is a nightmare round there. Portions are huge but really worth it. The meats are boneless.
Roti is okay like the doubles for breakfast.the guy is very friendly.it look a lot different inside now nice and clean too.
A cosy cafe feeling serving authentic Trini cuisine at reasonable prices. Tastes very good too!
