Rooftop Restaurant

Really nice food for meat eaters and vegetarians. Great view over Stratford and really nice service. Thoroughly recommend the restaurant as a great experience.

What’s needed before attending a performance at the RSC is fast, no fuss service. And the staff at the restaurant provide just that. At £21 for a two course theatre package is, in my opinion, on the expensive side. There are plenty of vegetarian options among what is otherwise a short menu. We may have chosen badly when opting for the plaice in tarragon sauce as the fish, though beautifully cooked, was not helped by the flavourless sauce. Our first experience of live Shakespearian theatre had plenty of drama on the stage, but sadly, none on the plate.

Had a gift card voucher from daughter. Used it on Friday 7th July, when booking asked if I had voucher and it made me think why do they need that Info? On booking I was told I had a window table, this did not happen when we arrived, we were shown to a table stuck right in a corner at the farthest point away, when we asked for a different (window) table told all reserved, we could sit outside at table not made up for dining, and never was even when we sat down. Throughout our meal there was at least 3 window seat tables unoccupied. I can only assume that we were put there because we had a voucher, I noticed another couple were seated close by that they too had a voucher. This leads me to believe that guests with vouchers are treated as second class diners. It made what should have been a memorable dinner into a very unpleasant experience. Malcolm Leicester

This recommendation didn't disappoint. Great views, great service and wonderful food = a memorable evening. Reservation is almost a must especially during weekends
